Be a hell of a match-up with the NHL's top two teams as far as points go (at the moment) fighting to take sole possession of first place in their division. Both teams have been excellent this season and especially recently (Devils 8-2-0, Pens 8-1-1), so this could be an explosive showdown.

This could be a showdown or a snooze fest. If the Pens want to win they need to score the first goal. If the Devils score first, Lemaire's trap game goes in full force and the game will be a snooze fest.

Damn. The Pens got their asses whooped. a 4-0 snooze fest just like you said.

Congrats to Martin Brodeur for setting the all time shut-out mark. The greatest goalie ever.

    Congrats to Martin Brodeur!

I'm taking anything away from Marty, but this game was a Jacques Lemaire trap snooze fest.

This was my annual "I'm a good son" game so I took my mom and her friend to this game. What a bore! The Pens must do anything in their power to avoid the Devils in the playoffs because they do not match up well against them. You're right, there is nothing more boring than watching a game where the team uses the neutral zone trap.

Tomorrow night I'm going with a friend and we're giving ourselves an early Christmas present. Got Igloo seats for the first time. Anyone ever sit there? I know I'm planning on enjoying the lounge before and after the game. I just hope it's better than last nights!

    Grats to Marty.

The Devils have the Pens number. Pittsburgh has got to come up with an answer to NJ's trap although, I would like the Pens' chances against them if they squared off in the playoffs. I also think Malkin is not up to speed yet which is hurting them but I'm sure he will get it turned around. One other thing that is an issue is the schedule. The Olympic break has forced the NHL to pile games one on top of another and IMO, it's an advantage for the young Pens but sometimes you're going to hit the wall. Pittsburgh will bounce back from this defeat and get it rolling again.
