Tigers 2013

Detroit close to signing Torii Hunter. He could bat 2nd ahead of Cabrera and Fielder. 37 yrs old but played like a youngster in 2012. 9 gold gloves some power and good in the clubhouse. Great fit......hope they can work things out. 2nd spot in the Tigers order was a real problem. Hunter outstanding outfielder.

Id rather go younger if I were a Tigers fan, but he is a very nice piece to add to a contender. Just not sure shaking up the line-up (he cannot play everyday, imo) is the way to go.

Hunter has not played in less than 140 games in the last 3 yrs. Tigers 2nd spot a real problem in 2012.

I understand that. But he is still getting older, and other than last year, his production has be dropping. I think about 100 games would be ideal for him and production. He can play in 162 games, but that doesnt mean it wouldnt serve he and the team more if he was fresh and only played in about 115.

His power is falling and his speed is gone. .313 was a career high, which wont happen again. Now, as a 2 hole hitter, he wont need any power, but I still think they would be better served with more youth and speed at the top of the lineup.

wouldn't be surprised if Hunter signs with Detroit to be closer to his son for the next few years. Torii Jr will be a freshman WR at Notre Dame next year.

And now signing Sanchez seems very possible! Thank you Mr. I A great owner unafraid to spend his money. Unlike the Dolans in Cleveland.
