Week 11: Cleveland Browns at Dallas Cowboys

All I know is that the NFL is getting to be a joke. There are no BIG hits (TJ Ward, Gordon's block on Reed) allowed anymore...it really is getting to be stupid. I honestly don't know what NFL officials want a player to do in TJ Ward's position? Let the wr catch the ball, get a first down, and then tackle him cleanly? Seriously....it's ridiculous, and I get wanting to keep players safe, but big hits is apart of the game, and how you play the game. Besides that, Buster was getting on my nerves with his inability to keep his hands of Dez Bryant the entire game pretty much and got half the penalties on him. Missing Haden really hurts this team, another reason why I wouldn't have been opposed to the Bronws taking Claiborne in this past draft. That way if one of your two best CBs go down, you still have at least one capable one out there...Sheldon Brown is done IMO, Skrine is a nickel guy and Bademosi and Wade are special team guys, although Bademosi didnt do terrible with that being his only realy gametime at corner.

Didn't they give it to him on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd?

Exactly. People who think handing the ball off to Richardson is always the answer don't understand that the NFL is a passing league. True, one has to wonder if that was the best playcall given the situation, but the quarteback has no business throwing it away on fourth down.

Yeah, that Skelton dude is quite the player.

I hated the call on Ward (I think I posted that right after it happened)...sadly it gets called every time I see it. Almost as if the crowd does a big enough gasp...the flag comes out.

As for the defenseless... Meh. I forget which game it was but they called the personal foul penalty on a safety and said the receiver was defenseless....but the receiver caught the ball, landed on both feet and even turned his body to cushion the blow and the safety hit him in the ribs area and it was still defenseless....not football IMO

The shitty calls against the Browns were more and at worse times. The replacement refs would not have done worse but everything they did was amplified by CBS, FOX, NBC and ESPN...afraid of losing sponsors.

Lol please show where I said he was that great of a player? The Cards had a 13-0 lead and Whisenhunt decides to bench his starter in place for a 6th round rookie who probably hasn't had many snaps with the first team offense. Skelton >>> Lindley. I know you're not the smartest Footwedge but hopefully you can at least understand that.

Weeden's nuts seem to shrivel up in the 4th quarter and Richardson ran like a **** in the second half.

Shurmur calling that dive up the middle on the goal line was a head scratcher. Run it LEFT !

Refs kinda jobbed the Browns on a few calls. The Miles Austin non-fumble was horrible.

Either way, good teams find ways to win when the calls aren't going their way.

Very rarely can a team say they dominated in the trenches (both sides of the ball) and STILL lost but we are talking about the Browns.

I like the Browns chances against Pittsburgh if they bring that kind of pass rush this Sunday.
lo I got ripped for saying this. Some jack ass said I didn't know shit about football. the same exact play happened in the Raiders Saints game and it was ruled a fumble. Miles caught it, and tried tucking it, it was a fumble. HUGE blown call.
