Week 11: Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers

  • bigdaddy2003
The Ravens (7-2) travel to Pittsburgh to battle the Steelers (6-3).

    Who wins?

*Can someone with power correct Pittsburgh in the title? Thank you.

well i guess its an obvious wait and see with BR but i think that after week 1 or 2 people were ready to hand the trophy and division to baltimore. i dont think they have had a good game since until the party they had on the field against oakland. the browns and chiefs played them tough so i think we have a chance even with leftwhich. that being said if ben doesnt play that is a tall order for pittsburgh.

I will be at this game with my 80th anniversary jersey(bumblebee) #58 so i really hope somehow ben can play

Not looking good for the steelers to win this one.

So that may mean they will.

Ravens looked like shit against Cleveland, but I look for them to be up for Pittsburgh. I will take them by 6 with or without Ben

Posted in the NFL thread, but will post here too - Ben is out for Sunday's game: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000094856/article/ben-roethlisberger-out-for-pittsburgh-steelers

While focus is on Ben Roethlisberger's shoulder, greater concern is his injured rib. Roethlisberger's rib injury is rare and dangerous.
  • bigdaddy2003
    Rare and dangerous rib injury?
  • Prescott
According to 97.1The Fan The rib that is injured is near the aorta. I'm assuming the possibility exists that the injured rib could puncture the aorta, which could be fatal. Roethlisberger may be shut down for the year and with good reason.

Now Steeler Nation will have a good excuse. We'll see the "next man up" crap go out the window from the fan base.

I corrected your horrible and blatantly disrespectful typo, you charlatan!!!

    *ahem*

    1. Baltmore (oops!) rolled last week, utterly destroying an inferior team.

    2. Pittsburgh struggled like crazy against an even more inferior team before winning in overtime, but losing their starting QB, who's been their best/most consistent player by far this year. And Ryan Clark got another concussion, which means they might be without either of their projected starting safeties. And while running backs used to never sniff 100 yards against their defense, that seems to be a lot more possible for teams nowadays. And...and...and...and...I could go on for a long fucking time venting about shit even though the team is 6-3 and two games up on anyone for a wild card.

    3. This is the NFL.

    4. Which means anything can happen...although even being a biased fan, I still am having troubles imagining them winning this game unless Baltimore utterly lays an egg. I don't see that happening, though.

[/h][h=5]Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger said he does not believe his rib injury is season ending but he is unsure when he'll play again.

I think the Steelers have a shot this week. At home, at night, hated rival who is in first place in your division. Will be close either way.

    I hope Clark can play.

The Steelers did everything but beat the Ravens a few years back with Dennis Dixon but Bruce Arians chose to run clock instead of letting the 3rd stringer do his thing and the Ravens stole it in the end....I could see this happening.

I could also see the Steelers playing like they have 1/2 of the games this year and get smacked....hope not.
  • bigdaddy2003
With Ben being out I'm going to say the Ravens win by 10+.
  • bigdaddy2003
There are a bunch of people on ESPN that are still plicking the Steelers.

Well, the Ravens run D isn't very good at all so if the Steelers can get the running game back to where it was prior to the KC game I think they could get it done at home. Crowd should be pretty raucous too.
  • Ironman92
Ugh....Steelers are wearing those 1934 retros that I swear COA designed knowing they'd have to wear in primetime.
  • Ironman92
Terrell Suggs is one ugly/scary m effer.
  • Ironman92
Suggs had 367 rushing yards in one game in high school setting the state 5A record for a game. Arizona....was also the youngest player in the NFL for his first two seasons. Was starting as a 20 year old.

Here we go, Steelers, here we go...
