Fire Marvin Lewis

He's the definition of mediocre (meaty-oaker?), if the Bengals want to be a real contender they have to find someone better.

Mediocre is a compliment to him. But it's Mike Brown. We're stuck. This is why the Browns future is probably more favorable than the Bengals. They at least make changes in the front office until they will find success.

Marvin will probably end up leaving at some point, go back to becoming a defensive coordinator and will then go on to make the hall of fame (ala Dick Lebeau). LeBeau coached some of the most brutal football games I have ever seen. A specific 20+ point loss to Pittsburgh featured a 3rd down punt just inside of midfield. Pat Shurmur would have applauded that.

I have no hope in the bengals changing anything until Mike Brown and Katie Blackburn and the rest of the family are gone. That ain't happening so the misery will continue.

Also, aside from Geno Atkins and Vontaze Burfict there is little to no fight on the field for the Bengals. They are passive and uninspired. Why would anyone pay to watch that. I was watching some of the Arizona game last week and wondered why my team doesn't inspire me to cheer for them?

Rey Maulauga is one of the worst linebackers I have seen play at the NFL level. Thomas Howard's injury destroyed the linebacking corps and forced a lazy and poor reacting Rey Mal to be a stalwart in the middle of the field. The guy is not good, and you can't hide him. Watching game film can not be fun for anyone associated with Rey or responsible for teaching him. I don't know how you can't find another player who can do the job he is doing. Vinnie Rey would be an improvement. I never thought I would wish we had Darryl Blackstock or Rashad Jeanty back on the roster, but I do.

Agreed with everything swamisez said. As long as Mike Brown is in charge, this is the team & coaching staff we consistently have to watch. Uinspired, uncoordinated defense and an offense that's night and day. One minute Dalton can make great throws; the next he tries to pump fake and the ball slips out right to the defender. Also, Maulauga is fat. At least it's a bye week so they can try and figure something out.

As I said before, the future looks brighter for Cleveland. While their record blows, they have improved from game to game this season. The Bengals have gotten much worse. More importantly, they will continue making personnel changes until they get it right. The Bengals won't.
