Guys, these game start times aren't fair! (STL whining, not surprising)

The culture of whining that TLR built is absolutely pathetic. At least Allen Craig isn't a total jackass. -
ernest_t_bassQQ, Cardinals, you jackasses.
-
justincredibleI mean seriously. It's your home fucking park. And the Nats have to deal with it too. You have the advantage here, dip shits.

This is the part that gets me the most. I hate to hear players of one team complaining about playing conditions. It's not like you're the ONLY ones who have to deal with it. If it's tough on you, then it's probably tough on your opponents as well.justincredible;1290197 wrote:I mean seriously. It's your home fucking park. And the Nats have to deal with it too. RotinajSeeing the cardinals lose was the highlight of my day.

If it weren't for the shadows they totally would've won!Rotinaj;1290207 wrote:Seeing the cardinals lose was the highlight of my day.
But yeah, that pinch hit 2-RBI double in the 8th was sweet. -
Laley23Their whining is pathetic. But it does win them games and titles (not the whining, just in general). I just wish they would lose more often.

I'm confused by this. If it doesn't refer to whining, then what does it refer to?Laley23;1290222 wrote:Their whining is pathetic. But it does win them games and titles (not the whining, just in general). I just wish they would lose more often. -

Im just saying whatever they do works. I dont know if its whining to make themselves feel sorry and thus play the everyone is against us card or something else or what. But they never fucking lose...Fly4Fun;1290288 wrote:I'm confused by this. If it doesn't refer to whining, then what does it refer to? -
ts1227I want Washington to win this series, but I understand where it is somewhat out of their control. I would assume that if STL had a choice on start times they would not have played then knowing the issue (and probably avoid it all season long). However, the way MLB/TBS makes the schedule is to set the Yankees up in prime time and then just throw a bunch of shit at the wall for the rest, and you end up with retarded start times for everyone else without any of this considered.
They're still whining, and as professionals they should be able to adapt. -

Perhaps, knowing that it's an issue in your own ball park...you take BP during that time on off days during the season in preparation for the post season. Perhaps they should quit avoiding it, and play a few games at that time so that they are ready for it during the playoffs.ts1227;1290646 wrote:I want Washington to win this series, but I understand where it is somewhat out of their control. Whining about it is retarded, especially when it's your home park. You know how the MLB operates. You know that the Yankees are going to get the good scheduling times. Be ready for that and quit bitching like little homos.
God I hate the Cardinals! -
ThePatriotI hate the Cards, and I'm def rooting against. What are you Reds
fans' feelings on a potential matchup with them? They're a tough out.
Do you like your chances and relish an opportunity to send them packing or would you rather avoid them? -
said_aouitaMore evidence baseball players are not athletes. Can't compete as well because of shadows?
Gimmi a break.
That said, I'm still cheering for the Card's. Screw Washington and the sitting Strasburg. -
justincredible
I want the Cards to lose but I'd also like the Reds to eliminate them. I honestly don't care they end up playing in the NLCS, assuming they can win one of three at home against the Giants.ThePatriot;1290876 wrote:I hate the Cards, and I'm def rooting against. What are you Reds

Yeah, that's kind of what I'd think most Reds fans would think overall. Baseball's a long fucking season and the smallest percentage of teams of any of the major North American sports make the playoffs. Their last appearance started with a no-hitter against and ended with a 3-0 sweep. I'd think at this point, the mindset would be "win one more vs. Giants; take whatever comes next and hopefully take whoever gets out of the AL".justincredible;1291126 wrote:I want the Cards to lose but I'd also like the Reds to eliminate them. Id love for the Reds to eliminate that group of shitheads. On the other hand, if we would happen to lose to them i would more than likely drink myself to death. Not saying i wouldnt be pissed if they lost to the Nats but not close to as pissed i would be losing to the Cards.justincredible;1291126 wrote:I want the Cards to lose but I'd also like the Reds to eliminate them. Raw Dawgin' it1pm on a Wednesday is a shit time to play a playoff game. I skipped out of work with a "doc" appointment to go. Weather and atmosphere was awesome, but the Nats stranding 10 runners sucked.
I just don't get the terrible start times with baseball. Other sports get it right. -

Since only 1 network has the contract to cover the games they try to avoid overlap as much as possible, while keeping the series moving (meaning only days off for travel).Raw Dawgin' it;1292596 wrote:I just don't get the terrible start times with baseball. Other sports get it right.
The other option would be to do it NBA style with a million off days to assure everyone gets prime time games. -
mhs95_06You'd think game 5s would get priority for prime time, but no Yankees get 7:37 every night
-
Heretic
Yeah. It had to be great if you were a Giants fan living on the west coast. Watch your team play at 10 a.m. so the Yanks can get their usual prime time spot.mhs95_06;1293028 wrote:You'd think game 5s would get priority for prime time, but no Yankees get 7:37 every night -
ts1227The world may end today, as the poor Yankees were relegated to a non 7:30-8:00 first pitch (5:07) for game 5
