Rangers @ Indians this weekend; just what he doctor ordered!
-
ricolaThe light hitting hapless Rangers visit intimidating Progressive Field and the red hot Indians for a big weekend series! Will the sell out streak keep going? Can the Indians get a sweep and put a big hurt on the Rangers' tenuous lead in the West? Will any September call ups make a splash and vie for playing time with the Tribe's solid starting crew? Should be a great series and great weekend! Anyone planning on making every game?

Glory Dayssince the all star break.
10 teams either tied or have hit less homeruns.
Jays, Astros, and Cubs have a worse batting average.
Only the Astros have scored less runs.
The indians have the worst ERA in baseball.
Indians pitchers have given up the most hits.
And the most runs.
only the Astros have issued more walks.
for some reason, that all makes me feel good -
Laley23Ill be watching...for the Rangers.

HitsRusGot tix for tonite...wanna bet I don't go?
ehhhh....maybe I'll go down for the $10 beer and $5 hot dogs
In all seriousness, my tickets in the bleachers cost $9 apiece....it'll cost $10 to park...$10 for a beer $5 for a dog. $4 buck for peanuts.
Mrs. Hits will want a beer and fries($15)...and it'll cost 4 gallons of gas, to and from Wayne County.
lessee...I can throw away $18 or I can 'save' the $18 and spend $60 more (conservative estim.)
How bad do I want to watch the Rangers?, 'cause I think I've seen all of the 2012 Indians I care to see. -
ricolaor you could just go out in the back yard and burn a hundred dollar bill, sit home and watch a exhibition NFL game on the tube, and still come out ahead.

IggyPride00We actually played Texas tough earlier in the year winning 2 of 3 and going extras in the game we lost.
I am still waiting until the inevitable win a bunch of worthless games at the end run they always do, because it will give the team propaganda to try and push that they just hit an unlucky dry patch and don't need to blow it up.
They need to, but I just don't see Dolan having the sack to totally clean house of Shapiro, his butt-boy Antonetti and Acta (who probably is the one that might get fired).
Shapiro must have dirty pictures of the Dolan's or something he is blackmailing them with because it is unreal he is still employed by the team given the amount of failure he has overseen in his tenure.
Has one guy ever gotten a longer leash because of one good trade a decade ago than this guy? It is unreal. -

That decision is what many many ticket holding fans are facing the rest of the season!HitsRus;1258696 wrote:

Heretic
Yesterday, I went up to Cleveland with a friend of mine who's a huge Browns fan to spend all day tailgating like champs. We'd been thinking that if no one was hanging in the Muni at noonish when we showed up that we might go and catch some of the Tribe game, but within about two minutes after showing up, that idea was pretty much killed. No desire to see a team + lots of moonshine = not going anywhere.HitsRus;1258696 wrote:Got tix for tonite...wanna bet I don't go?

stlouiedipalmaIt's been getting harder and harder for me to watch the Tribe as this latest slide into obscurity goes on. I'm finding myself watching more Giants' games than Tribe nowdays. Football couldn't start soon enough to take my mind off this extended train wreck.
The sad truth is that I'll be back in the spring. I love the Indians and it hurts like hell to see them on a par with the Cubs. -

MulvaMost losses in a month since 1914. Worst 33 game stretch (5-28) in team history. Fun stats.

Glory DaysThey need to win 3 more games to make sure they dont tie the club record for losses at 105.

not sure they can do that at this rate!Glory Days;1259236 wrote:They need to win 3 more games to make sure they dont tie the club record for losses at 105.
2-3 more 8-12 game losing streaks would make it close. -
HitsRusNo way! this team is at least 2 or 3 games better than that.
FYI another rock and blast tonite, as the team continues to spend more on fireworks than on players.
The show is to honor the Beatles....and will start about ten minutes after another Beatdown. -

BearBoy69I got tickets for tonight... They were free. I recieved them while they were still winning. I can't wait for the great stadium atmosphere. It won't be worth it. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to being the only fan at the game
