Since they both or unemployed who had the better career?

    Chad or T.O.

    Easily Owens.
  • Azubuike24
    Definitely Owens.
  • Ironman92
    Pretty lop-sided IMO
  • jmog
Not even close when you look at their stats.
  • Commander of Awesome
    Not even close.
  • Rotinaj
I'm with everyone else. TO in a landslide.
  • Commander of Awesome
Might as well ask TO or TJ Whosyourmomma.

I was desperate to start a thread lol

It's not to take away from Chad's career, but Owens is one of the top 5 WR's of all-time.

You could argue that only Jerry Rice and Randy Moss are clearly superior.

Was going to say should I edit for Randy Moss
  • Azubuike24
It's close, but Moss is the only WR I've ever seen where the game plan was focused on him. It's kind of like Calvin Johnson, but Moss did it for a decade.

    Thread cant be serious.

    T.O. vs Moss very debatable.

    Chad couldn't hold T.O.'s jock.

    I like that.

When T.O. & Moss were at their peak, who was the most unstoppable? I go with Moss.

    Agreed

I would have to take Moss over TO. Although, I can't help but imagine what TO and McNabb (in his prime) could have done together if TO wasn't such a bitch. That Eagles team was pretty damn good, and they were only going to get better with TO/McNabb in their primes with a full year of knowing each other under their belts.
  • se-alum
Yea, not close, Owens by alot.

T.O wasn't the one who wilted in the bright lights of that Super Bowl. Donovan getting fat and happy the past 3-4 years (in what was left of his productive years) showed everyone how committed to being great he really was, and it all that inspiring.

Never said TO wilted. He just turned into a little bitch during the off season, and he never played a down in an Eagles uniform again, when the team was prime to return many guys and could have made another run. Donovan wasn't getting fat and happy during that time either. He was in his prime, and he was a pretty damn QB. People seem to forget how good he was because of his last few years in the NFL.

Owens was relevant outside of Cincinnati during his career. Therefore, him.
  • Laley23
TO is a top 5 WR all time. Chad wasnt even a top 5 WR any year in his career.

Considering CJ was a 3x all pro I'm going to have to disagree with your 2nd sentence.

    T.O.

Yeah, for about a 5-year span Chad was top 3...03-04 through 07-08. Over that span...yearly averages.

    92.4 receptions
    1374 receiving yards
    8.6 touchdowns
    Over 15 ypc as well

Most importantly, in those 5 years, Chad played 80 games. The same CAN'T be said for Terrell Owens, RandyMoss, Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson or Steve Smith. Also, if you compare his numbers, they are better than Smith, Reggie Wayne, Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson. Chad may have been a lot of things, but he was durable and productive.

You can actually argue, Chad's 5-year averages are better than any 5 consecutive years for ANY of these guys. His problem is the longevity, but for those 5 years he may have been the best in the NFL.

It was said for effect lol.

But since we are on the topic, I would guess I could go back and look at stats and say CJ was arguably top 5 and probably was in a few seasons, but not definite any year. Big yards guy a few years (led league I think) but not as much on TDs. Receptions were pretty solidly in the top 5 though.

But again, I was saying that for effect. As in, this topic isnt even close.
