lol before that ball was hit to him he made a big deal about not having his sunglasses, then he got them and didn't put them on. what a fucking idiot. laporta's days are numbered in cleveland. no reason he shouldn't be up here. we what 8 games out of first? amazing how fast a season can turn around.

our front office is hands down the best in the MLB

Dolan must be a bigger idiot than he seems to be. If he really gave a s*** about this club he would be calling every executive, coach and staffer in for a "clean the house" meeting once they return from this road trip. What an embarrassment this team has become. You can't fire 25 players but you sure can shake it up with the coaching staff and front office.

5-0 Detroit in the 5th inning. Ubaldo really showed up tonight to stop the bleeding.

Cleaning out the front office would require firing people and hiring new ones. That would mean paying 2 people for a job only 1 person is doing, and that is a completely unacceptable waste of money in the Dolan's world.

Tom Hamilton is doing a pretty good imitation of Bob Uecker in the 8th.

I tuned in Hammy as I took a spin to the store. 7th inning I think...and he said that in his 23 years, heads alwaysroll after a stint like this.

Maybe I'll start a thread entitled "Acta Fired" to get a jump start going.

i saw something the other day that said the indians have only started 7 different pitchers this year and that is tied for the fewest. that says a lot for how piss poor their starting pitching has been the past 2 months. you think they would be looking down in columbus and akron for anyone with a heartbeat.

You need to cut off the head of a snake to kill it, so as long as Dolan is THE man, nothing will change :(

I have my issues with Acta...but he has taken a group of 'not ready for prime time', and past prime players and managed to keep them in the race for 100 games. The blame here squarely falls on the inability of the front office to make a signing or two in the off season... that is the fault of the guys running the team (Shapiro/Antonetti) or of the owner to underwrite what was necessary..or both.

Clearly they expected (mistakenly)to get some contribution from Sizemore, Carmona/Hernandez....something better out of Hafner, Santana, Masterson and Jimenez. That is on the guys making the 'baseball' decisions. The utter failure of left field, the inability to acquire some 'pop' at the corner positions, the lack of a right handed power stick, is on the owner, and his unwillingness to go beyond his initial budget.

    Fuck Dolan.

I cant wait to see their lineup next year. Whos going to be DH, 3B, 1B. Santana needs to get his head out of his also, stopping at 2nd on a home run, thats a Manny Ramirez moment if Ive ever seen one. With Choo being in his contract year next season I wonder if Boras will even talk with the Indians and just let Choo go to FA. There are teams that will give him much more then the Indians will. I cant wait to see a lineup where Santana and Kipnis are the power of the lineup.

To be fair Santana has really found his swing lately but he's about the only one

I agree to a point because it always seems like he does something when the game has gotten out of hand. It just seems like these guys cant hit anything if there is anyone one base. Todays lineup is just awful, not that it isnt any other day.

    Thank goodness football is here.

2 things. when did Marson think he was kenny lofton? second, this is the first game in detroit i have seen on tv, what is with the shitty ass camera angle behind the netting?

Tribe have already scored 4 runs today, that is like the weekly quota in one game.

Also, Hamilton made a point of stressing over and over last night that the Indians had never lost every game on a road trip of 9 games or more in team history. Seems like they came to play today not looking to make history of that kind.

If they do lose however, you have to wonder how long it will be until Sandy is managing this team. Acta was God awful as Nationals manager, and hasn't proven to be much different with the Tribe. He is a career minor league player (like much of our roster) and came on the cheap, but that is no reason to hang on to him forever when this clearly isn't working.
  • IggyPride00
Carerra should have been on the main roster earlier it appears.

It's his 3rd straight game with 2 hits since being called up Friday.

^^^I wonder what took so long for them to try something different in left field. That position has been the definition of insanity all year....trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. You could have brought up Carrera, Laporta, or any one of a number of guys. Instead they stuck with an aging Damon who can't even throw to second base, and two guys(Duncan and Cunningham) who have a proven track record of being sub-.230 hitters. For three months we/they watched it...WTF.
  • Crimson streak
Tomlin gives up a lead off triple in the 9th and some how gets out of it. Then Hafner and cerrara go back to back and then marson ripped a double to score hanahan. Wth hasn't this team played like they did today
