Padres @ Reds...Game 4

Did Valdez get hurt last night? Luddy getting the day off, with Paul getting a start. Somewhere, Chris Heisey is breaking shit. -
Terry_TateI think having Cozart playing but not leading off is interesting, especially after his lead off HR yesterday. Dusty being Dusty.

I gave up trying to figure out Dusty's lineup strategies a long time ago. I still believe the Reds winning is despite Dusty's ability to fill out a lineup card.Terry_Tate;1238977 wrote:I think having Cozart playing but not leading off is interesting, especially after his lead off HR yesterday. thavoiceCairo at second base.......I bet 3-4 get by him that BP usuallly fields.
Valdez better be hurt, or sick, or tied up in the basement someplace. No way should Cairo be playing there for any other reason. -

Valdez came out early yesterday, like 4th or 5th inning, and it wasn't a double switch situation, so I imagine he has some sort of injury.thavoice;1238985 wrote:Cairo at second base.......I bet 3-4 get by him that BP usuallly fields.

Azubuike24He strained his neck stealing 2nd base.

I guess that is more acceptable than the time a red missed a game because of a stiff neck from sleeping on the airplane.........Azubuike24;1239013 wrote:He strained his neck stealing 2nd base.
Redlegs have been very lucky the first half with injuries. Lets hope that it isnt going to now catch up with them. -
HereticFortunately for Ross Ohlendorf, he does have an Ivy League education to fall back on after this afternoon has ended.

RotinajReds lose 7-6.

so you are saying the reds wlll blow their 6-0 lead?Rotinaj;1239073 wrote:Reds lose 7-6.
Could be right..already 6-1.
this may just be one of those years for the reds that no matther what they do it turns out gold. Votto out, BP out, BPs replacement out and old man cairo playing, sitting the hottest hitter on the team.....and they get 6 in the first two innings.
Go figure.
Was it dusty who said it......'every ten years you will have one season where everything goes wrong, one season where everything goes right, and 8 seasons that are dependant on how you really get defined as a manager' or something close to that. -

and it was 6-4 a little bit ago...Rotinaj;1239073 wrote:Reds lose 7-6.

It won't be 7-6 now. 9-8 maybe, but not 7-6.thavoice;1239104 wrote:and it was 6-4 a little bit ago...

I agree. Reds lose 9-8.Heretic;1239134 wrote:It won't be 7-6 now. 9-8 maybe, but not 7-6. -

Well, guess it'd have to be 10-9 now.Rotinaj;1239136 wrote:I agree. Reds lose 9-8.
Have to give the Reds all sorts of credit. Lose Votto, rip off a winning streak (maybe not against tough teams, but virtually no one is a guaranteed sweep, especially without a star). Lose Phillips for a few days, win without him. Sit your hottest hitter in Ludwick ON TOP OF not having Votto and Phillips, put up 9 runs.
They truly are the kings of baseball. Pittsburgh will be lucky to score once in three games and I'll be happy if Cincy doesn't singlehandedly send them on a tailspin to another 90-loss season.
