This means I left in the 8th -
se-alumChatter on Twitter that the Reds are interested in Choo. Would love to get him. Leadoff man and a left-handed bat. I'd give up Stubbs and Ondrusek for him.

I'd give up Stubbs too. Dude is 27. It's time for people to stop giving him passes because he is 'young.' I have my doubts that he is ever going to be able to put it together on a consistent basis -
SportsAndLadyWould love to get Choo
Just for the fact that he can't hit 84 homeruns against us 6 games a year -
jordo212000Seems like we might be a good match with them. He fits what they are looking for. Reports say they want young starter with less than 3 yrs in league
Can Choo play CF though? Bad question. More specifically, can he play a 'good' CF? -
wildcats20
No he cannot.jordo212000;1236732 wrote:Seems like we might be a good match with them. He fits what they are looking for. Reports say they want young starter with less than 3 yrs in league

jordo212000Not a good trade then. Because then we take Ludwick's bat out of the lineup and he sits on the bench. Need an upgrade at CF
I'm confident in Ludwick and Heisey in LF -
jordo212000Indians say they aren't likely to trade Choo unless the offer is 'perfect'

Not sure why you're so down on him. He's more than likely going to come close to doubling his HR and RBI output from last season. Probably won't ever be a 300 hitter, btu its too early to give up on your first round pick already, esp with his speed/power combo. I think he's actually a nice player, just needs to cut out the strike outs.jordo212000;1236726 wrote:I'd give up Stubbs too. Dude is 27. You're going to be waiting for a while. We've been waiting on him to make that adjustment for a while and it just simply has not happened. He's 27, so it's probably not going to happen -
redstreak oneRedlegs are rolling right along, they keep up the mojo and start this homestand off right!

I'd be happy with him being a .275 hitter, but it isn't going to happen. He's been virtually the same player since starting pro baseball. Strikes out way too much, can't bunt, and he's a average CF'er. The worst part is, he's shown no improvement in any facet of the game. A guy with his speed not being able to bunt is unfathomable to me.Commander of Awesome;1236830 wrote:Not sure why you're so down on him. thavoiceReds coming off a high with this win streak..coming home from 2 tme zones away...taking the padres lightly...with a pitcher that can get lit up at any time....and team with a former red wanting to prove to his old team that they made a mistake.
Padres big over the reds. -

I still say the biggest factor was the $225 I spent and my Dad's and I luck. -

However we wanna say it the end result is the same, the reds getting thumped.Ironman92;1236963 wrote:I still say the biggest factor was the $225 I spent and my Dad's and I luck.
WE unloaded ou tix for this series a few weeks ago. Local kid I coached was in the Padres rotation until he had surgery...so no reason to go down there for this series. -

Well....I think watching Stubbs get 4 or 5 hits tonight is plenty of reason. -

4-5 hits? Is he getting 20 AB tonite?Ironman92;1236991 wrote:Well....I think watching Stubbs get 4 or 5 hits tonight is plenty of reason. -

Stubbs has been pretty damn good lately.thavoice;1237006 wrote:4-5 hits? Is he getting 20 AB tonite? -

In his 433 games he's never had a 5 hit game but he has had 1 4 hit game....and it was last July 31st.
He's due. -
slcoachI just don't get all the hatred for Stubbs. The guy is only in his 3rd season. Big damn deal that he strikes out a lot. A lot of guys strike out. Also, how many bunt hits do you see from right handed hitters? It just doesn't happen. With today's scouting and whatnot, Stubbs ability to bunt means nothing. Stubbs is what he is and I get people want him to be better, but the Reds are not going to have all stars at every position. I like what Stubbs brings and that is above average defense, great speed, and good power. I know this message board loves Heisey, but anytime Heisey has had extended playing time, he ends up worse than Stubbs.
