Reds at Rockies, game 1
-
mhs95_060-0 after three innings. Bronson has retired the first 9 in a row on 32 pitches.
-
mhs95_06Reds lead-off batter singles for the 2nd straight inning. Let's see if the Reds have any more success when its their #3 batter vs. the #8 it was in the 3rd.
-
Rotinaj1-0 good guys.
-
Terry_TateReds lose 6-4

Good job by the first 6 batters by the Reds in the 4th with 4 hits, and two runner advancing on fly outs, 2 runs, and good base running. That got it to Arroyo with 2 on and 2 out and he goes down trying for the 3rd out.mhs95_06;1235666 wrote:Reds lead-off batter singles for the 2nd straight inning. mhs95_06Hitter #12 is the first base-runner against Bronson as Car-go singles. 44 pitches thru 4 innings.
-
mhs95_06Reds #1 and #2 hitters pretty weak(again), against a lefty, with a K, two pop-ups, and 3 ground outs. 4 ABs with bases empty(two with no out, two with 1 out), and two with a runner on first.
-
mhs95_06After the Rockies have 2nd and 3rd with one out after a double by Pacheco, a much better scoring chance than the Reds have had tonight, Arroyo does a good job to earn a zero in the 5th. Still 2-0 reds.
-
Midstate01Astros retake the lead!
-
Midstate01I was waiting for someone to start a thread. I wasn't doing it. They're terrible when I do.
-
Midstate01Frazier has taken some terrible swings tonight.

Frazier always has terrible swings, but he seems to do something positive at the plate every game.Midstate01;1235710 wrote:Frazier has taken some terrible swings tonight. -
Midstate01Astros have has based loaded the last two innings and scored once. Hopefully they can hold on. But coco awaits...
-
mhs95_06After two one out singles in the 6th and a wild pitch, the Reds have the same 2nd and 3rd situation with one out as did the Rockies. They don't fare very well and would have been held to no runs were it not for another pitch that got away from the P and C. 3-0 Reds going to the bottom of the 6th, and Arroyo gets another zero in the 6th, and now has 75 pitches, having given up no walks and 4 hits, two of them with 2 outs.
-
mhs95_06The 7th is an important inning for Arroyo with the first batter being the same as in the 5th when he was in his worst trouble of the night. He gets Helton on the first pitch, then a single to Rosario.
-
Midstate01Arroyo must be the most honest pitcher I've ever seen. If he's done, he lets them know.
-
mhs95_06And there's the value of Stubbs in this high acreage ball park as he runs down Pacheco's drive for a big 2nd out! Then Rutledge singles to put two on. Price comes out to visit the mound and he makes the decision to relieve Arroyo as Simon comes in to try for the 3rd out and hold the 3-0 lead.
-
mhs95_066.2 innings and 85 pitches for Bronson.
-
Midstate01No coco in Houston. 1 down in the 9th.
Nationals down 6-0 to the brewers as well. -
Midstate01Astros trying to blow another one. 2 on 1 out for the buttpirates
-
Midstate01Another walk. Bases loaded 1 out...
-
Midstate01Marte ties it. 2 outs.
-
Midstate01Wild pitch.. Pirates lead.
