Reds vs D-bag's Game 1

Looks like a wrong decision by Dusty as Simon walks the pitcher to lead-off the 6th, his 3rd inning. I guess he didn't want to use a PH as early as the 5th, especially with Votto still on the roster(I assume he's not available as a PH).mhs95_06;1226741 wrote:Simon has pitched 2 shut-out innings and thrown 31 pitches, although he has allowed 3 hits and 4 baserunners. Dusty lets him lead-off the 5th, so he must be hoping to get 4 innings out of Alfredo. -
SportsAndLadyGet Josh Willingham from the Twins..22 HRs, .265
On the trading block according to my Twins fan friend (pretty random I have a friend whose a twins fan, i know..) -
Midstate01That's why I hate first pitch swinging Ludwick!!!
-
mhs95_06Surely walking the lead-off hitter for the 2nd inning in a row will not turn out as well as it did last inning!
-
Midstate01Bray lookin solid...
-
RotinajAtta boy bray!! He gives up even 1 more run we won't be able to come back.
-
RotinajHahahahahaha wtf.
-
se-alumLOL...I've never seen anything like that!
-
Midstate01Wow

mhs95_06Very precise quick throw by Frazier started a great DP to help Bray out to get him where he only needs to get one more out to get a zero, but Bray promptly throws a very wild pitch, but it bounces hard back off the wall and the run can't score! Then trying to throw intentional ball four, Bray goes completely bonkers and throws a wild pitch inside, and he lucks out again as they nail the runner at home for the 3rd out, but not due to any good job by Bray of making the tag! That is about as bad a job as a pitcher can possibly do in an inning and still get credit for a scoreless inning pitched! The breaks are going for the Reds - they better take advantage by winning this game!

mhs95_06If any part of that ball is touching the white part of the plate, it is a fair ball, and it looks like the ump was correct!
-
RotinajI really dont feel like watching the reds lose. Can you guys go ahead and win please? Thanks.
-
Midstate01Reds just laying down here late.
-
wildcats20Walt said a roster move will be coming tomorrow.
-
Midstate01Huge play by Phillips there, saved a run.
-
Midstate01Pirates up 1-0
-
mhs95_06No runs scored the last 6.5 innings of the game!

Now we'll lose by 2
Yeah. -

Damon didn't have spring training and in his last 17 starts he's hitting .339

Laley23
Yeah I know. I really don't mind him. I said initially that he would hit over 270 because he is a veteran who knows what he's doing. I just lime giving him shit cause it's a fun ongoing joke. His defense and arm still blow though.Ironman92;1226872 wrote:Damon didn't have spring training and in his last 17 starts he's hitting .339

That is true.mhs95_06;1226787 wrote:If any part of that ball is touching the white part of the plate, it is a fair ball, and it looks like the ump was correct!
BUT i dont think it was. Did they show a zoom in view at all? I saw a fwe replays that to me looked like it wasnt touching the plate at the time he picked it up, but they really needed to come up with a zoom in view for sure. -

Tito said it best in the studio IMO on Baseball Tonight. He basically said that after seeing it several times, he couldn't tell and it's really hard to fault the ump in that situation. -

True. Hard to fault the guy that is a few feet away. Even after the replays I think that it was either FOUL or just BARELY, but a **** hair, touching the plate and no way the ump could have seen it.wildcats20;1227094 wrote:Tito said it best in the studio IMO on Baseball Tonight.
