Reds @ Padres....Game 4
-
Ironman921. Cozy
2. Drew Gehrig
3. Votto
4. BP
5. Bruce
6. Luddy
7. Rolen
8. Hanny
Frazier and Heisey are two hottest hitters....Rolen and Stubbs take the starts.
Frazier .300 higher OPS
Since late April....
Stubbs .192 (43 starts)
Heisey .286 (40 starts...15 when Stubbs hurt) -
Ironman92Heisey has hit for the cycle in his last 7 AB
-
RotinajI need to know why the hell Stubbs is starting over Heisey right now. Dusty needs to explain himself.

2 game hitting streak bro! Play him while he's hot! -

Heisey also has a 2 game streak.....has a cycle in those games combined. -
Ironman92Drew Gehrig strikes out looking.
-
mhs95_06After Cueto looked like he hurt his leg avoiding a double play on his short bunt, he exhibits great base-running by quickly perceiving that Cozart's one out bloop to RF was going to drop and motors around to 3B with a good slide to avoid the tag. And then Stubbs fails on the Reds' albatross, runner on 3B and less than 2 out, and wastes Cueto's good efforts to get to 3B with one out!
-
RotinajStubbs strikes out w a man on 3rd w less than 2 outs. AWESOME!!!!
-
Azubuike24What's sad is Jason Marquis is terrible. One of the worst starters the Reds will face all year. Even Votto K's...
-
Midstate01Well done dusty... Fucking retard
-
mhs95_06And some people will think Joey had a worse AB than Stubbs because he struck out with two out and a runner on 3rd. But he needed a hit, while all Stubbs had to do was hit a weak infield grounder and beat the DP attempting throw to first, something that he ought to be able to do 70% of the time, while you can't expect Joey to get a hit over 40% of the time.
-
mhs95_06Bruce crushed that one a bit more than he did the one that went to the warning track in the 2nd!
-
mhs95_06Who woulda thunk it that the Reds could win the SD series on HRs!
-
Azubuike24Wow. Mighty impressive catch robbing Votto of a HR.
-
Terry_TateDrew Stubbs sucks.
-
Midstate01Stubbs.. 3 pitch k. Good lord
-
mhs95_06
Guess who are the only two Reds position players in the game today, thru five innings, that don't have a hit!Ironman92;1220869 wrote:Frazier and Heisey are two hottest hitters....Rolen and Stubbs take the starts.

Azubuike24Both have looked awful. Rolen whiffed on a 2-2 hanging curve that was screaming "crush me" in the 2nd. He hit the weakest ball of the game in the 4th grounding to 3rd. Stubbs, well that's self-explanatory.
-
Rotinaj
Don't worry, he'll get an infield hit with his last AB to keep his streak going!!!Terry_Tate;1220953 wrote:Drew Stubbs sucks. -
mhs95_06Here's a good test for Johnny, with 1 out can he get the P out without the runner scoring from 3rd.
-
mhs95_06
Nope, he fails, plus he may have knocked out of the game the pitcher who the Reds, less two individuals, were hitting pretty hard!mhs95_06;1220960 wrote:Here's a good test for Johnny, with 1 out can he get the P out without the runner scoring from 3rd. -
Azubuike24The Reds need Marquis around as long as possible.
-
mhs95_06Just a little more zip on the toss from Cozart and the Reds, and Cueto, would have been out of the 5th with no runs allowed.
-
mhs95_06Alonzo makes a fundamental mistake that sets the Reds up for an inning! I wonder if they'' rule it an error or a FC. Probably an error because of the wide throw. If the throw would have just been late, then a FC. That is why that play attempt is eschewed, because so much throw accuracy is needed to get that tag out.

Midstate01Fucking terrible!!!!!!!
