Anyone still think Kobe is better than Lebron?

Yeah, because Brons was passing the ball to Wade all the time in key moments.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1209344 wrote:LeBron is a better all around player than Kobe, but with the game on the line, LeBron is passing the rock to Kobe EVERY TIME.
Lebron is a better closer than Kobe too. Kobe fans are butt hurt. -

Are you high?! LeBron isn't half the closer that Kobe is. LeBron's percentage of game winning shots isn't even half of that of Kobe's. The dude is a stud, no doubt, but if there is ONE THING he needs to improve, it's his jumper and closing out games.sleeper;1209351 wrote:Yeah, because Brons was passing the ball to Wade all the time in key moments.

And for the record, I despise Kobe, but other than Jordan, I wouldn't want anyone else taking a game winner. -

Kobe's clutchness is one of the most overrated aspects of his game, and his clutch stats are usually behind Lebron(and many other players). This is a case where perception and reality are inconsistent. In fact, Kobe was anti-clutch against the Thunder and his poor play late in games was a key to a couple Thunder victories, but it was rarely talked about. The funny thing was that Lebron "choked" far less the day before against the Pacers and he got ridiculed much more for it. If Lebron played the way Kobe did against the Thunder, he would have been ripped apart whereas Kobe gets a pass.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1209438 wrote:Are you high?! LeBron isn't half the closer that Kobe is. Kobe's percentages of buzzer beaters is one of the worst ever in all of basketball. Look it up.. LeBron's driving to the hoop in clutch time trumps Kobe easily.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1209438 wrote:Are you high?! LeBron isn't half the closer that Kobe is. Carmelo Anthony - 51% (25 for 49)
Chris Paul - 41% (13 for 32)
Dirk Nowitzki - 36% (21 for 59)
Ray Allen - 35% (21 for 60)
LeBron James - 31% (21 for 68)
Vince carter - 30% (22 for 73)
Kobe Bryant - 30% (31 for 103)
Dwayne wade - 27% (15 for 56)
Joe Johnson - 26% (17 for 65)
Derrick Rose - 25% (8 for 32)
Kevin Durant - 24% (11 for 45)
This has LeBron winning by 1%. However, the numbers make it obvious that Kobe is MUCH more willing to TAKE game-winners regardless of how well defended he is. As I said, I think LeBron is a monster, but passing to guys like Udonis Haslem and Mario Chalmers for game winners from 18 feet isn't gonna win you many games. LeBron is a phenomenal passer, but at the end of the game he has to get the mindset that it's his shot to take. Wade has even deferred this team to LBJ, and rightfully so. He's the best player in the NBA, but he could stand to improve his closing game.
I admit I exaggerated significantly, but would you rather KNOW Kobe is gonna take the game winner, or have LeBron take it if he can get a high percentage shot or pass it if he is well defended? I would want to KNOW my stud is shooting the rock, personally -
Dr. KnOiTaLLHard to believe Melo is on top of that list... lol

wghfanYes, Kobe over Lebron.

This will never make sense to me. Kobe takes a last second shot with 4 defenders, misses the shot, and people praise him for taking such a difficult shot (though it was such a lower percentage shot). Lebron passes it to a wide open guy, he misses it, and Lebron is ridiculed for passing it for a high percentage shot.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1209450 wrote:

First off, no one has ever quadruple teamed Kobe lol... Secondly, passing to Udonis Haslem for an 18 footer is not a high percentage shot. If it was a layup, that would obviously be a great decision, but not an 18 footer.elbuckeye28;1209455 wrote:This will never make sense to me. Touche... However, if a player drives the paint at the end of the game and isn't swarmed, the team is horrible on D. That looks to be about a 10 footer... and it looks like Reddick got blown by, hence the reason he is behind the play.elbuckeye28;1209465 wrote:

On a side note, Dwight is massive! If only he could make free throws! -
wildcats20There aren't 4 guys on him in either pic.

wildcats20JJ and Brewer are not close to him at all. The angle of the pic is VERY deceiving.
HOWEVER, I have seen Kobe quadruple teamed before. -

Speaking of Dwight, I think he has handled his Free Agency issues way worse than Lebron, Carmelo, CP3.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1209468 wrote:Touche... As for Kobe and Lebron, I think the happy medium is between the two. Kobe is too unwilling to pass when the situation warrants it, and Lebron is too willing to pass when he could drive in or take a good shot. -

Another question, who should Kobe pass to? lol Matt Barnes?elbuckeye28;1209455 wrote:This will never make sense to me. I would agree with this statement. With LBJ's size and athleticism, there really isn't anyone that could stop him a majority of the time if he really wanted the shot.elbuckeye28;1209475 wrote:Speaking of Dwight, I think he has handled his Free Agency issues way worse than Lebron, Carmelo, CP3.

And yes, Dwight is a moron as well. Also, Westbook (while he is a stud) needs to pass the rock to KD. That is all lol -

There aren't four guys directly on him, but there are four players from the other team around him with no Lakers in between them. People were open. In fact, there is a much better picture of the Bulls shot, but I'm not sure where to find it.wildcats20;1209469 wrote:There aren't 4 guys on him in either pic. -

No, but he forced up horrible shots in the OKC series, in addition to some bad turnovers. I don't care who a player is, deep fadeaways with guys in your face are not high percentage shots.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1209476 wrote:Another question, who should Kobe pass to? lol Matt Barnes?
My point is that while Kobe is one of the greatest of all time, he has had the luck of the media concentrating solely on his late game heroics while dismissing his late game failures. Whereas Lebron has had the opposite. Both have had their fair share of both (as had any other player), but the narrative has played out the opposite. -
jhay78LeBron has had way more scrutiny starting at a younger age than Kobe. Kobe also benefitted from playing with Shaq when he was the most dominant player in the game.
Instead of rings, how about comparing Finals MVP's? That eliminates the Robert Horry types. -
hoops23LBJ > Kobe
LeBron has the potential to rival MJ, especially if he stays within his current mindset. He matured A LOT as a player this season. -
DeyDurkie5I'll take Mike Miller over all these guys
