Reds at Indians - Game 2
-
Terry_TateFigure after last night it can't hurt if I start the thread. Not sure of my season record but it's 1-2 or 0-2. Either way I'm predicting a Cleveland sweep.
Reds lineup:
Cozart
Heisey
GOAT
Phillips
Bruce
Ludwick(DH)
Rolen
Frazier
Mesoraco
Leake vs. Tomlin
Pitching should be better with Mesoraco behind the plate. -
BRFTerry Tate, startin' it up!
Should be another high scoring game tonight, given the starter ERA's and hot weather.
Our Tribe posters know that I'm not a big fan of Acta. So on that note I will say; Baker looks pretty stupid on those camera shots into the dugout. That toothpick stuff.....
Ha ha ha. I am messing with sports ladies or however the hell you spell it. It's summertime and baseball!
Go Tribe
Edit: fricking auto-correct -
se-alumKipnis miss the tag? If not, Cozart was out by a mile.
-
se-alumThat's an error on Rolen, not a double for Choo.
-
RotinajHey Leake, please dont take after Latos and blow donkey balls tonight. Thanks.
-
Midstate01Brantley will now homer. It's how it always seems to work.

If that's not an error the Phillips should be awarded a in the Parker last night. -
Midstate01This ump blows. Not giving anything on the inside.
-
Azubuike24Huge play by Bruce. I wouldn't have guessed it with 2 crappy pitchers going, but both look decent and runs might be tougher to come by tonight. Time for the Reds to open it up in the 4th with 2-3-4-5 coming up.

Agreed. Tomlin has looked real good since the first. Leake keeps pitching out of trouble. -
Azubuike24Votto wants the MLB record for doubles so he stopped. Thought he could have had 3...run on Brantley all day.
-
RotinajWhat's the record?
-
Azubuike24Earl Webb, 67 (1931).
Votto is on pace for 71. -
RotinajVottos gonna hit 80.
-
Azubuike24Todd Helton had 59 in 2000
Carlos Delgado had 57 in 2000
Nobody has been over 60 since the 1930's. All of the other years over 55 doubles were done in the 1930's or from 1999-2002. We know the latter span saw the highest producing era of offense ever and in the 1930's the ballparks were very XBH friendly. Only 2 years don't fit this era. George Kell with 56 in 1950 and Brian Roberts with 56 in 2009.
If Votto just gets to 60, he's reaching a milestone. If he goes for 80...insanity. Then again, his year thus far is insanity... -
RotinajHe's also gonna get up to .400
-
Azubuike24Big inning here. Heisey needs to do something productive...
-
Azubuike24Negatively productive...
Many clamored for Heisey to get more PT and thus far, blah. OBP under .300. With Stubbs (OBP .300), Heisey (OBP .298) and Cozart (OBP .306), it's crazy how good of a year Votto is still having as those have been the guys in the 1/2 spots. -
BRF
Ah yes, i remember him well It was said that he could hit the switch and jump in bed before the light went out.Azubuike24;1205079 wrote:Earl Webb, 67 (1931).

Midstate01Need some runs!!
-
se-alumWho would've thought a pitchers duel would break out w/ Leake and Tomlin going tonight.

-
Azubuike24Votto-like at-bat for Mesoraco.
