se-alumThey probably were stealing signs, but every team does it. You gotta be able to change up your signs quicker. Latos has yet to show the ability he showed in SD, and it's getting frustrating. He's been our 4th best pitcher this year, which is unacceptable.

mucalum49I never get why these guys are surprised when teams try to steal signs or get upset when it happens. Just have several indicators for odd/even innings or something.
Most of the time when I wasn't pitching we were tasked to watch the base coach giving signs to try and pick up steals/bunts/etc... So if they do it back it's just part of the game. -
shook_17Lol what a little bitch. Dont be mad because you're a scrub

BRFThese kind of guys should realize the negativity of making knee jerk comments on Twitter.

thavoiceUm.
What a cry baby.
You do realize that when on second base, ever since little league, you look in and try to get the signs. Its not a new concept. -
Ironman92Uh...change the signs with a runner on 2nd and STOP letting them get to 2nd!!!
Quit acting like a 14 year old girl and start pitching like one (never lets you to second base) -
justincredibleI didn't read anything from his quotes where he was whining or saying they shouldn't have been stealing signs. I certainly hope the Reds try to steal signs when they've got guys on second base.

sherm03I posted his wife's tweets in the game thread. It's a terrible excuse for having a shitty outing and getting shelled.

I can agree with this.sherm03;1204595 wrote:I posted his wife's tweets in the game thread. It's a terrible excuse for having a shitty outing and getting shelled. -
se-alumI will say this, there's no doubt they knew what pitches were coming in some situations. Especially the one Chisenhall looped into left field. That ball was a foot off the outside corner and way down, there's no way you put that swing on that pitch if you don't know it's coming. With that being said, again, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it!

And now that I read the article, I can agree with your post. I didn't get the impression that Latos was whining or saying they shouldn't be stealing signs. He was basically just making an excuse for why he got lit the fuck up.justincredible;1204604 wrote:I can agree with this.
Dallas, on the other hand, was most definitely QQing. -

Perhaps. Or perhaps it was just a helluva AB.se-alum;1204644 wrote:That ball was a foot off the outside corner and way down, there's no way you put that swing on that pitch if you don't know it's coming.
Dallas.....as in Debbie? Ha ha -
THE4RINGZAs Jim Rome once said, "Twitter is like driving a car, don't get behind the wheel if you have been drinking or are mad."

I actually think thats the worst example from last nights game. Id say Choos double off the change-up was more like it.se-alum;1204644 wrote:I will say this, there's no doubt they knew what pitches were coming in some situations. Chisenhall had seen 3 straight curves off the plate in that AB and Latos threw a 4th in a row, for some reason. This after falling behind Kotchman and Damon 2-1 and 3-1 and throwing the curve to get back in the count. I was even sitting on a curve hoping Lonnie would let it go. -
