Just a big dude. If you are hitting upper deckers when you are in middle school, you are an athletic freak

Ludwick needs to totally redeem himself after some of the ABs tonight

No he's a fat fucker. He just happens to be good at baseball. Just like his dad.

How do they get the idea that Angel called him safe prematurely? On the audio replay it sounded to me like he said "no" when he missed the tag meaning no he did't tag him, and then when he touched the plate he said "he got the plate" and made the safe sign with his arms once he touched the plate.

Angel does not like Ludwick for whatever reason

    Ludwick sucks tonight

Sure it was, but I understand you not wanting to admit it. I don't like either team and can give an unbiased opinion. Wasn't close? Lol, like you had your micrometer out to measure the distance? Well, there was no distance - it hit his jersey.

He made the "safe sign" before the Tigers player touched the plate.

He made the safe sign when the tag was missed. Bad timing, but ultimately it turned out to be the right call.

Ludwick is right around the Mendoza line. He's been bad for much of the season...

Common move by umpires to indicate that somebody missed a tag. No conspiracy here

Average wise, sure. But Ludwick has come up with some HUGE hits this season...and he's got close to 30 RBIs this season I think. He's definitely not been "bad".

LOL the safe sign means he just hasn't been tagged yet? Am I reading that correctly?

Lol, okay. It didn't hit him. Whatever. I'm not going to argue about it any more.

    Not in games I watch.

Yes, the call was correct in the end but you still don't make the safe call until, you know, he's ACTUALLY safe.
  • Midstate01
Well that'll do it. Ugh. Now the indians, who have beat the shit out of Detroit, come rolling into town. Not looking good.

No you do NOT wave the safe sign to indicate the tag was missed. Justin is right here. Even the announcers talked about it.

Even Frazier couldn't save the Reds from this epic choking performance tonight. Sad.

Right. In the end he was safe but it just goes to show that Angel Hernandez has no fucking clue what he's doing out there tonight.

So maybe Dusty should have brought this dude in for the 8th?
  • justincredible
Cairo as a defensive replacement? Good lord. Dusty is brain dead.

Think he did it just to do the double switch and move the pitchers spot. But I think that's dumb in this instance. You just ph Cairo for the pitchers spot.

Yep. Now we don't have Frazier's pop in the chance the game goes to extras. Awesome.
