Bengals WR Chris Henry Passes Away From Car Accident

  • Little Danny
Does anyone know what exactly Chris' injuries are? I would assume it is some sort of head/brain trauma or a possible spinal cord injury. This is really a shame. I hope he is able to pull through this and my thoughts and prayers are with him, his three children and the rest of his family.

ESPN said head trauma. That's the last I heard though...

What a terrible thing to happen. Chris really seemed to be turning things around and was keeping his name out of the papers. Hopefully he pulls through but it certainly doesn't look good.

    ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!

Slim was just getting his life turned around.... I know football is just football but when it comes down to it, I know a few of the players and coaches went down to Charlotte to see him and now they have to turn around and head to San Diego and play a game. Come on BENGAL NATION!!

Few comments I want to make:

    1. Horrible tragedy and thoughts go out to his family and friends.

    2. No one cares who you are a fan of. Like someone said above, does it make you feel better if you feel sorry for the opposing team?

    3. I understand the obsession with professional athletes, but I'm really surprised that this is such big news. I can understand the Ohio media talking about it, but it's the lead on ESPN. I feel bad for Henry's family, but I feel worse for the family of the Dublin Scioto principal, or the Hilliard Davidson students family. I guess I don't get the obsession with professional athletes. We act like we know them personally, when we don't. It's a terrible tragedy, but some people are really down about someone they don't even know.

    4. Chris Henry's fiance might be facing some charges. Kind of sad to think that she just left him on the side of the road.

Prayers go out to Chris's friends and family and the whole Bengal Nation.

This is another reminder that life is too damn short. Enjoy every minute, and don't let stupid shit stress you out.

    RIP #15

This video was just posted 2 months ago from Cincinnati.com showing leaps that Chris "Slim" Henry A.K.A Baby Randy Moss had taken and was taking to turn his life around.

    RIP Henry.

Quick question: Will this lead to any charges against his spouse?

I was wondering the same thing. It seems like from what they are saying she might be liable for Involuntary Manslaughter. She could probably just claim self defense, that he was trying to hurt her or something and she was trying to get away. It is a very sticky situation because he willingly jumped on the back of the truck.

Sad day in football nation....News like this really grounds you in reality. Sometimes we need to step back from the chaos of work, sports, and stress to just appreciate how valuable one's life really is. Although we lost a great player and a young man who has shown the determination to turn his life around, he has taken a step to a better place. Let his legacy live on through everyone else, that we all may have the courage and determination to work through the difficulties life presents us.....much like Chris did in his life. Appreciate what you have, for you never know when it will be gone! Rest in peace young man!
