Reds at Astros, game 2, a wild one!
-
mhs95_06Latos can't hold an 8-2 lead after two, as the Astros score 7 in the 3rd and 4th off Latos and Hoover and some shoddy defense to take the lead. Starter Wandy Rodriguez can't take advantage of his change of fortune to put him in position to pitch a scoreless 5th and qualify for the win as he gives up a game tying HR to Ludwick on the 2nd pitch of the inning.

Midstate01This stupid shit with fox broadcasting like 6 games sucks!!! I'm blacked out because it's on the regular fox network, yet I get yanks/tigers. Bullshit
-
Midstate01As for the game. Latos just isn't aggressive enough... And then has to throw pitches down the middle.
Glad the hitters showed up tonight.
Pirates are losing and st Louis already lost. Need this one! -
mhs95_06LeCure comes on for the 5th, and promptly allows the first two batters to reach, but in between those two batters Ryan Hanigan makes a great play to gun out the runner attempting to steal. This somewhat lessens the chances of Wandy having the lead after 5, and LeCure finally pitches for an out the Joey tried to give away with a bad throw to 2nd, but Cozart, who earlier made an error which led to some unearned runs, bails Votto out by making a good play to corral the throw for the force-out for the 2nd out in the 5th. And LeCure gets a K for the 3rd out, and it is 9-9 thru 5 innings.

I'm not able to watch. But he scored... -
mhs95_06
I'm referring to his ugly pick-off after his 3rd hit of the night when it was 8-5 and with the Reds needing to add on runs after the Astros had just scored 3 in the previous half inning.Midstate01;1187379 wrote:I'm not able to watch. But he scored... -
mhs95_06Hanigan at the top of his game tonight on throwing prospective base stealers out at 2nd!

He's maybe the worst baserunning superstar I've ever seen. -
mhs95_06We'll see how Chapman's velocity and location is tonight on the 2nd night in a row.
-
mhs95_06Bat contacts ball on just the 2nd pitch after not once last night.

Ironman92I love Aroldis.
-
mhs95_06Not quite as sharp with location tonight, but several pitches 100-101.

Sorta -
Azubuike24Reds go for a sweep tomorrow. They got 3 runs off Jordan Lyles at GABP earlier in the year. Arroyo has struggled the past 3 weeks though.
