Reds vs Astros, game 1

  • Midstate01
Reds up 2-0 in the first. Votto single, Phillips double, Bruce single.

Haap thought he had votto k'd, and I agreed. But he got a very generous call to k Stubbs, so it evened itself out.
  • Midstate01
Votto singles and scores Cozart, who tagged on a deep fly from Stubbs, 3-0.

Not playing Heisey after proving his worth makes me want to kill koala bears.

He had 17 starts in May and hit .325

Last game he played he had 2 of the 4 Reds hits and was robbed of a double.

The game before that he had the only RBI.

Just trade him....anywhere...that was Dusty doesn't have to waste his ridiculous excuses as to why his best hitting OF plays the least.

Heisey not getting 5 starts, at least, a week is stupid!

    2 things...

The Stros uni's are filthy. Love them.

And 2, I HATE watching games in Houston. It seems so boring and dark and dull.

It's time to start mentioning it like Thom did. One of the greatest seasons ever may be upon us...absolutely sick.

Yeah definitely didn't look good on that ground ball.

    I love Aroldis Chapman....damn

He should be back to Ohio in about 5 hours if he has a full tank.
  • Midstate01
I was a little worried about chapman his last few outings. He was pitching 94,95. Occasionally 98. Tonight he was hitting 99+ on almost every pitch. Then placing it wherever he wanted. He was unhittable tonight.

    Chapman's K/9 is 15.67

Has there ever been a MLB pitcher that pitched over 25 innings with an ERA of 0.00 with a 15+ K/9 ratio within the first 60 days of the season that also had at least one blown save? I'll bet not. A decent chance there has been no one do that if you drop the blown save requirement.
