ESPN OTL

LOL @ Kyle Mcalarney pulling the race card saying hes not in the NBA bc hes white basically.
  • gerb131
Tell him to call Craig Hodges.
  • SQ_Crazies
I'm not trying to get into a race debate here--but it's funny that he pulls the race card because he's white, but it's a normal thing to do for black guys...just sayin'...black people complain about there not being enough of them in the MLB, what about white guys in the NBA? Same thing, it's all stupid--best players play period.

But race certainly isn't the reason he isn't in the league--he just isn't good enough.

I think people who pull the racist card anymore are just looking for attention, including this white guy.
  • SQ_Crazies
    ^Agreed.
  • SQ_Crazies
Less than 10 percent of the league consists of white people.

Wasn't it like 18% of MLB was black or something? And it was a HUGE story.

Again, I have no problem with it--the best players should play. Just sayin'..

And now they're saying that zone defense were implemented because of white players being poor defenders. LOL, this is pathetic. If this were the other way around there would be OUTRAGE.
  • Glory Days
Its funny watching/listening to the analyst dance around the stereotypes between blacks and whites.
  • SQ_Crazies
    ^Yeah, that's stupid too.

haha sorry i hit delete instead of edit. were you referring to the NFL forcing teams to consider a black coach when hiring?
  • ZombieKiller
Why don't they do an OTL about the lack of blacks in hockey?
  • SQ_Crazies
    Yeah Glory...

I'll tell you what, as far as racial issues go--a lot were just very quietly exposed in that OTL report. And I'm not talking about who should or shouldn't be on the court--I'll never say a guy should play because of his skin color, the best should play no matter what. But racism is so one sided and backwards is amazing to me.

I am not sure who it was, but they were interviewing a guy on the show who was black. I think he said something like "the black players in college practice basketball in the morning, afternoon, and evening." I think it was Levy who said "and what are the white players doing?" and the guy akwardly said "i dont know" its like he wanted to say they were probably going to class and studying.

    Exactly my thoughts.

Kyle you're not in the NBA because you're not very good. End of story.
