Are the Lakers done?

  • sleeper
They aren't even the best team in their own city. Kobe isn't getting any younger. Gasol is done. Bynum is overrated. MWP is a moron. No other player on the Lakers would even start for the Bobcats.

They are toast, no more championships for Kobe.

We will see what they do in the off season.

    Collapse thread?

They will be good as long as Kobe is around, but I can't see them being a championship team with OKC being so young.

I think that Kobe is done getting rings.

The only way I see it is if the Lakers get Howard or like Wade/Bron from the Heat.
  • sleeper
Kobe to the Heat for Wade.

OKC the new bullies on the block and i love it. i don't see kobe winning another ring.

lol at them not even being the best team in their own city.

But yes, THIS team is done. Mitch and the Buss family will semi-blow it up. I think they will make a serious push for Howard, although he isn't the answer either.

They lost last night so yes they are done. Not surprised that it went over sleepers head though.

Bynum to the Nets for Deron Williams would suit me just fine.

IF that is out there as a possibility, I would do it yesterday, today and tomorrow. Keep Pau around, because the only way to get Howard would be through free agency if they get rid of Bynum.

Jordan Hill is a nice piece, they need to keep him around. IF nothing else, he could play the 4 along side of Pau.

Lol. That's what I was thinking. The Lakers replaced Phil Jackson with Mike Brown. What could go wrong?

This may not be far from becoming a reality.

Kobe has a few very solid years left in him, but without an infusion of talent, YOUNG talent, I dont think he will sniff even the Conf championship.

I thought the job should have went to Brian Shaw but I will wait until Mike Brown has had a full off season and full training camp and a normal regular season before saying it was a bad idea to hire him. The whole Lamar Odom/CP3 ordeal set the lakers back from the get go, I am still shaking my head over that one.

send bynum and ebanks to orlando for howard. send gasol to houston for scola and lowry

hope a starting lineup of lowry, bryant, artest/peace/ron, scola and howard will be enough

    Kobe isn't done, IMO.

    Top 5 SG maybe.

He isn't quick like he used to be, but he is a pure scorer and a hell of a closer. Not too many guys that I would take over him if you take age out of the equation. Still the best rapist in the league as well.

Good thing he's not in the NFL.

True, Big Ben is the best in all of sports....plus I am sure there are several others that compete at a high level.
