Barry Larkin Hall of Fame induction...

  • justincredible
Anyone else making the trip out to Cooperstown? My wife is going on vacation with her family that week so my mom and I will be road tripping out for the event. It will be my first trip to Cooperstown. Any suggestions on things to check out, other than the hall, obviously?

I was going to say I have nothing. But I won't under the enforced rules.

Actually I'm not sure if I'll ever make it there. It's not on my bucket list. Hope ya have fun as I've heard it's a neat experience...just not my thing.

You should check out the Hall of Fame. I heard that was pretty cool.

Enjoy....don't know shit about Cooperstown other than that baseball place.

The Phil Rizzuto section is the best

    Check out the baseball HOF.

I'm jelly, though. Next to Eric Davis, Larkin is easily my favorite player of all time... Well, 2nd. I may meet you there.

Be even weirder if you did it, if you know what I mean.

Met Eric Davis in AZ back in February. Hilarious guy. At one point he was in a dugout giving a talk to Miguel Cairo and a couple other guys. I stood and listened to the whole talk, probably 15 minutes, about plate approach. The best quote that I can remember:

"Lots of guys get to two strikes and they completely forget their plate approach. Want to know my two strike plate approach? Don't get two fucking strikes."

    That's wisdom right there.
