Random NBA Playoff Talk

No, I don't, considering espn has the "heat index" something they don't have for any other team in the NBA nor have they ever had anything like that for any other team in the NBA. Rondo did something in the Playoffs that has never been done before and I don't see espn having the "Rondo index" and Rondo has actually won something in the NBA.Automatik;1192872 wrote:You expect ESPN to just ignore something that hasn't been done in over 2 decades?
That IS historical. lol....you really are the worst. -

Agreed. I didn't watch last night, but just judging by twitter....it was pretty damn impressive -
Fly4FunLet me first say that when the Spurs lost I was disappointed as the three remaining teams I dislike. I dislike the Thunder because they were stolen from Seattle. I dislike the Heat for obvious reasons. And I dislike the Celtics because Boston is annoying as hell and I am tired of KG's mean mugging everyone. Also I still hold Pierce's wheelchair routine against him.
However, anyone trying to discredit what LeBron did last night is just plain ridiculous. The guy was an animal. It was an elimination game. He came to play. He didn't just score a lot of points on many shots. He was extremely efficient. He did what the team needed him to do. He did exactly what people have been wanting him to do for years. Give credit where credit is due. -

ESPN has been all over Rondo this postseason and he deserves it.Skyhook79;1192883 wrote:No, I don't, considering espn has the "heat index" something they don't have for any other team in the NBA nor have they ever had anything like that for any other team in the NBA. only thing I don't understand is everyone at ESPN calling him an "emerging" point guard. huh?Automatik;1192939 wrote:ESPN has been all over Rondo this postseason and he deserves it. -
AutomatikI'm interested to see what Skip has to say today.

He already said something about the Heat having no pressure last night or something dumb like that and thats why Lebron went off. I actually dont mind skip for the most part, but when he debates Lebron and Tebow topics hes unbearable.Automatik;1192943 wrote:I'm interested to see what Skip has to say today. -

Just LOL to this whole post, appreciate something great when you see it. Instead you try to downgrade, typical hater like the rest of the world.Skyhook79;1192861 wrote:Big deal and someone not named Lebron James has been an NBA Champion every one of Lebrons 9 years in the NBA. ESPN constantly cherry picks Lebron's stats and makes them sound like they are so historical it's laughable. -

Agree 100% with this. Shit, Rondo had almost the same stats in game 2 of this series, and all this wasn't going on.Skyhook79;1192861 wrote:Big deal and someone not named Lebron James has been an NBA Champion every one of Lebrons 9 years in the NBA. They covered it in quite detail.
Does Rondo get critiqued every time he farts for implementing the wrong leg angle?
In today's sports' talk (which is to beat a story to utter death).....this is getting the right amount.
WTF are Brett Farve and T.O. doing? -
friendfromlowryIs always amazes me how dramatic the media (ESPN) is with their stories. 24 hours ago, their lead article was about Rondo and whether or not the Heat should blow up the team this offseason. Today, it's about Boston and how the big three are done. It's like after every loss we should open up a discussion on whether the team should be blown up this summer. Can't wait to read how Boston or Miami should change up their team Sunday morning.

It was not covered like this
Rondo did not label himself as KING, or The Chosen One, so no reason to really be critical of how he farts.
Right amount? LOL. Overboard to say the least.
Who cares what Favre, and T. O. are doing. -

KR1245The Lebron stuff is over the top regardless how he plays. If he has a great game it gets blown out of proportion, if he has a bad game it's the same way.
He had a great game last night, still doesnt make up for his finals performance. Fair or not, Lebron needs a title (maybe 2) to change the mind of the majority of the country. You can't shit down your leg in the finals like that, especially when you're as good as he is -

Way to get the point. LeBron was worn out by the media before the "King" or his special hour on ESPN....and what Rondo did wasn't as big.....this was an elimination game. If Miami loses it will be 50x more LeBron than if he wins.
BTW if you don't remember Brett Farve and T.O. one of the two for 5 straight summers...you shouldn't know what all is going on with LeBron now. -

The point I get, is he is way overhyped. That is the bottom line. And it should be 50 times more if his team loses, they are the ones that brought it on.Ironman92;1193485 wrote:Way to get the point. RotinajLol at Lebron being overhyped. Im no fan of his but he will go down as a top 10(easily) player of all time. No way is he overhyped.

Favre, and T. O. are non factors, compared to James.Ironman92;1193485 wrote:Way to get the point.
