The cavs team was built with shooters around LBJ to space the floor. He was the main player outside of Mo Williams that could create his own shot and pretty much the only one that could drive and kick the ball out. Once that threat was gone, the shooters were guarded much closer and thus harder to pass them and give them better looks. The entire team was built around the best player in the league (3x MVP). Once he's gone the team was in full rebuild mode, and you're delusional if you think the team without LBJ should contend in the East.

Talk about spin control, just stop talking and let the adults talk. Thanks.
Z,West,Danny Green, Head coach,GM along with Shaq and Hickson was traded half way thru the season. Not surprised you didn't know. That is a lot of changes in one season. Now please let those who know NBA basketball talk.

Lebron's biggest problem is playing alongside another assassin. When LBJ was with the Cavs, everyone knew he was taking every important touch in the 4th, and whether he chose to pass, drive, or shoot we (as Cavs fans) were confident that it would end positively. And it did. Why? Because he's the best basketball player on this planet, and he had no equal (or anyone close) on our roster to even consider deferring to.

Now that he's in Miami, he plays differently in the 4th quarter because there's someone of close to equal talent. Lebron doesn't play with the same killer instinct in crucial minutes because you can't have 2 killers on the same team who play the same position (wing scorer). One of them needs to be the go to guy. I think both of them being on the same team is a major mistake and the way they botch things up by taking turns deferring to each other is going to prevent them from winning a title.

In terms of the scrutiny Lebron endures, a lot of it is because of the POS decision he made to go to Miami, stabbing us on national TV. By creating all this hype around the Heat, Lebron opened himself up to that heightened scrutiny and his failures shine a hell of a lot brighter than they did in Cleveland. Lebron is a clutch player, we saw it ALL THE TIME in Cleveland, but part of being clutch is mental and I think Lebron's mental game took a hit by having to decide whether to defer to primadonna Wade or not.

I just don't think the Heat experiment is going to work because IMO you can't have 2 All Star wing players playing the same position unless one completely defers (think Pippen and Jordan). If their goal is to win a championship, the Heat need to just tell Wade to defer to Lebron in the 4th because Lebron is better, but I just don't see it happening.
