Royals at Indians 4/24 - 4/26

Once again, the offense failed in some good situations, by a lack of patience. That seems to be a key. When they work for good pitches, good things happen. More than a few times, with the bases juiced, they have swung at a bad first pitch. Hafner and Duncan (who especially had a bad at bat with runners on) were guilty last nite.

Need a win today to salvage the series. Choo is once again out of the lineup. Slumping Kotchman has the day off, as Lopez gets the start at first. I'm somewhat surprised Santana is getting the the start behind the plate with the quick turnaround from last night's game.

    Today's lineup:

    Brantley CF
    Cabrera SS
    Santana CA
    Hafner DH
    Duncan LF
    Hannahan 3B
    Lopez 1B
    Kipnis 2B
    Cunningham RF

He threw just over 110 pitches...6...maybe 7 were 58 feet.

    SMH.
You think that was bad. Perez's fastball was a blistering 82 MPH.

I'm sure it wasn't planned this way, but if the game was tonight there might have been 10 people there.

    Looking like shit already

When will Damon be ready to play? I can't stand Cunningham playing any more and it gives us a better lead off hitter than Brantley
  • Crimson streak
As I say that he gets an RBI single lol

Detroit down 3-0 in the first. And a possible sweep by Seattle.

There had to be something wrong with him--he looked terrible!

Hell, the Mud Hens rocked his ass...if Verlander isn't pitching, they need to score at least 6 runs to have a chance of winning...GO TRIBE!!!

one thing I noticed about the crowd while at the game last nite....Basically, everyone there is a baseball fan... no corporate types to be found, unless they are hanging around the club seats.

This ws my first visit this year. $9.50 for a beer...SMH Thank god it was dollar dog nite.

bases loaded no outs = 1 run. nice offense.

That's one more run than usual in that situation for them.

    smh

Well it was a good run. The starting pitching let us down these past two games, not necessarily in giving up a ton of runs, but in not being able to go deep in to the game. The offense cooled back off with the weather at home. Hopefully as it gets warmer, the bats will warm back up too. Duncan's performance the past week will make putting him back on the bench when Damon arrives an easy decision.

Acta fucks with the line up and our offense looks like ass again.

Brantley is not a lead off hitter. He needs to be moved down.

    back to life...back to reality....
  • Laley23
Seriously. Brantley needs to not be higher than 7 in the line-up and Kipnis needs to be top 3rd.

Acta is almost like Shurmur when it comes to managing the game. He tries to get too cute with his lineups and resting his players. He is his own worst enemy.

I am not going to hold my breath for Damon to be productive. his numbers have dropped for the past 3 years.

He's going to be better then 2 of our 3 outfielders. (3 if Choo is hurt)
