Reds @ STL - Game 3

    No thread yet?

Cozart grounds out on the first pitch. Stubbs beats out a bunt.

Wainwright has an 11.42 ERA this year. That means he will probably throw a complete game shutout today...

Votto and Phillips with really good at bats but still got nothing out of them. But did make wainwright throw a bunch of pitches after only throwing 3 combined to the first 2 batters.

Pitcher's Duel so far. No score through 3.

Each team has a pair of hits. Neither has really threatened.

    Brandon Phillips...FUNKBLAST!

    1-0 Reds in the fourth.

That was BP's first RBI of the year.

Ludwick goes yard after a Bruce single.

    3-0 Redlegs.

I did. Sorry. Frazier was up and his name was on my mind...

Two homeruns in an inning! Who do these guys think they are? The Cardinals?

He's definitely swinging the lumber well. And it's nice to see production out of the clean-up spot.

    Uh oh

I went to take a shit and do the dishes, and came back to see it was 4-3. WTF?

Then Stubbs did the opposite of strike out. Good for him.

Arroyo made one mistake. But pitched great! 8ip and just 90 pitches.

Even though I am not watching the game, I venture to say he made more than ONE mistake. The cards may not have capitalized on the others.

Sorry...pet peeve of mine when someone says a pitcher made "one bad pitch".

He had 90 pitches. He probably would want less then 5 of them back. His slider was GREAT today.

Cincinnati Reds this year: 1-8 in the first 2-3 games of the series(Opening day only win), 4-0 in the last game of the series. So basically they have lost their last 8 games that aren't the last game of the series, and won the 4 series ending games. They had this same trend last year if I remember right. Bizarre how it can be so different.

Oh I am not doubting it. Just a pet peeve when a manager, reporter or whatever states a pitcher had "one bad pitch"....especiallly a starter who goes a number of innings.
We all know in baseball, and it is what makes it such a great game, that ya just never know. As a pitcher You can make an awful pitch and get the guy out, or you can make the best pitch in your life and still give up a knock and as a hitter you can be fooled, have a horrid swing and the duckfart falls in for a hit and the next AB hit one solid and a screamer right at someone!!!! They say they all even out though.

    Gotta love this crazy game!!!!
