SportsAndLadyHe was clearly safe
-
Midstate01Not really that close
-
Terry_TateLooked like a terrible call there to prevent the Reds from having 1st and 3rd with no outs.
-
SportsAndLadyThanks a lot ump, cost us a chance at a big inning

I think he was obviously safe, but I think the out call resulted from the pop-up slide with the tag on which may have helped Stubbs lose his balance a little bit and he adjusted with a weight shift, and I think then is when the ump called him out judging that his foot lost contact with the bag for just an instant! Look at when the ump made the demonstrative out signal.Terry_Tate;1146331 wrote:Looked like a terrible call there to prevent the Reds from having 1st and 3rd with no outs. -

While that could be true, it's still wrong because his glove was off Stubbs when his foot lost contact with the bag. Had he held contact with Stubbs I would agree, but either way it was a terrible call. -

Your reasoning is always ridiculous, but for some reason I can't wait for you to weigh in on each play!!mhs95_06;1146341 wrote:I think he was obviously safe, but I think the out call resulted from the pop-up slide with the tag on which may have helped Stubbs lose his balance a little bit and he adjusted with a weight shift, and I think then is when the ump called him out judging that his foot lost contact with the bag for just an instant!
