Mercury Morris Countdown
-
SQ_CraziesHow long until we hear from this douche bag? I'm half surprised we haven't already...
-
darbypitcher22He may be arrogant about it but he's got a point. Until you go undefeated and win the Super Bowl, don't contact him lol
-
Al CaponeI was thinking about that this morning. Him and Shula are due anytime now.

No, he doesn't have a point. He roots against teams going undefeated because he's a douche bag.darbypitcher22 wrote: He may be arrogant about it but he's got a point. Until you go undefeated and win the Super Bowl, don't contact him lol -
darbypitcher22Is there a problem with wanting to continue to hold a record thats very difficult to break?
I personally love the guy -
devil1197Every person who holds a record that I have viewed being interviewed has always said it would be great for someone to break the record and that they would congratualte person or team.
Everyone except for Morris, I don't understand why he is so adamant against other teams breaking the record. Its like its the only thing he is known for. -
SQ_CraziesThere is a problem with coming out and public rooting against guys that are playing the same game that made you who you are.
-
SQ_CraziesThe record will never be "broken" anyways--teams will just be added to the list. They'll always be the first.

Strapping Young LadHe was part of something special with a group of friends and he wants to have that distinction of being the ONLY group to have done it. It makes it that much more special, that it's only happened once. I can't fault him.
He was a pro athlete. By nature, he thrived on competition. It's not suprising that it's still his tendency.
Since when does everyone have to root for everyone else in sports? There's nothing wrong with wanting your place in sports history.
In cancer reasearch, I want people to work as hard as they can, yet wish to be outdone. In sports, it's alright to want the accolades of you and your teamates to be distinguished. -

Hb31187Lol how can anyone defend Mercury Morris, dudes a flat out douchebag.
Kinda like Shaq is a douchebag whenever someone makes note of Dwight and comparing Dwight to himself early in their careers. I forget exactly what the comments were, but they were childish.
Grow up, and show some form of class lol -
darbypitcher22I gotta agree with Strappin Young Lad

No one contacts him, he just opens his stupid ass mouth.darbypitcher22 wrote: He may be arrogant about it but he's got a point. Until you go undefeated and win the Super Bowl, don't contact him lol -
Benny The JetJust saw on Sportscenter Shula already opened his mouth. So there's 1 of the 2...
-
darbypitcher22ts,
I was playing off of his, don't call me when you're in the neighborhood, call me when you're on my block statement... guess you missed it -
Laley23He is a Grade A DB
-
DarkonThe guy must have nothing else in his life worth a shit.
He doesn't bother me. I enjoy watching him make an ass of himself. -
Al CaponeJust saw Bob Griese on espn. He says the best thing that could improve the Colts and Saints superbowl chance are if they lose one of the next three games.
-
jordo212000If I were Shula and Morris, I'd just ignore all the undefeated stuff now. New England did it, its old news. I just hate that now Morris has amended the rules and now says that being "in his backyard" means winning all the playoff games too

Thats for the weakmindedAl Capone wrote: Just saw Bob Griese on espn. He says the best thing that could improve the Colts and Saints superbowl chance are if they lose one of the next three games.
I cant stand when people say at least we got the lose out of the way. -
Trueblue23In Mercury's eyes in order for it to "really count", you must do cocaine everyday during the undefeated season!

That is so true!!!ccrunner609 wrote: Oh Mercury......he needs teams to get this far, its the only way he gets on TV.
