Cincinnati people: Reds event on April 4th
-
justincredibleJust an FYI for Reds fans that live in Cincinnati, there is an event coming up on April 4th at the Green Diamond Gallery (in Montgomery) that should be pretty sweet.
Details -
Date: April 4th
Time: 6:00pm
Cost: $125
It's a little pricey but it does include food and drinks (open bar).
Bronson and Mike Leake will be the speakers, talking about expectations for 2012. Also, if you've never been to the gallery, it is without a doubt one of the coolest places I have ever been to. It's just one dude's personal collection of baseball memorabilia but it is unreal. Tons of cool shit to see, two of the coolest being one of an estimated 10 in the world Shoeless Joe Jackson autographs and the only home jersey Lou Gehrig wore for the entire 1933 (I think that's the right year) season.
Anyway, here's the link.

justincredibleI've been to two other events at the Gallery and they were both awesome. And neither included any ball players. The first was just watching the All-Star game last year. The other was Bob Miller (Asst GM), Dick Williams (VP of baseball operations), and Sam Grossman (manager of baseball research and analysis) talking about the economics of baseball and how they use different formulas and shit for determining the actual value provided by a player. It was extremely fascinating. Even my wife enjoyed it.
