Oh, I'm OK with ringer teams being put together. I'm not OK with teams blatantly lying about their scores.Ironman92;1236945 wrote:Scrambles are often stacked unfairly. -

Back when I was just graduating there was always one team that had 3 shady members and everyone knew they were full of it. The main guy was about a 5 handicap in the book. This clown carries it to the club championship flight. It was a 2 round competition. On the first day he was in the same foursome I was. The scores were 69, 70, 73, 89. He was not in my group the next day....nor did he show up. -

I was going to drive up and play today, but decided for yard work. Shot 8 over 79 Saturday and 6 over 77 yesterday.Ironman92;1236947 wrote:Shot 5 over today....irons improving a little -

Classyposter58Anybody else going to the WGC at Firestone this weekend? Absolutely love that course, the fact it's relatively close and is essentially a major championship field

Terry_TateThis could be an epic choke joke by Furyk here. Bradley with an awesome up and down.
-
Terry_TateKeegan Bradley shoots a 64 to win by one. Furyk up by 1 going into the final hole and gets a double bogey to lose by 1. I'm sure theres only about 65 people watching this but that was painful to watch for Furyk.

He hit some bad shots on 18. -
IggyPride00Furyk is not having a good run of it this summer.
He blew the U.S Open in similar fashion. -
Ironman92Probably the best thread for it.
Here are some of the clubs I was going thru today in my garage. When my grandfather passed away about 10 years ago. I was the only one who wanted his golf clubs. He had old Wilson Staff irons and putter, a 1990's wedge but here are what was under the ghey "sock" headcovers....
^^^ 3 black woods 2-4 that I believe came with the iron set....guessing 1985ish....and 1 brilliant dark brown wood Wilson driver (guessing very early 80's and it's by far the most eye catching though I couldn't get a great pic. -
Ironman92A few more...
The other 3 clubs...
Thinking late 70's?
The McGregor driver appears to be the oldest. The Dynacraft 4 wood is sharp. The 2 1/2 wood is awesome for that reason alone. -
karen lotzPlayed Findlay Country Club Friday for the first time. Really nice course and set up they have.
-
IggyPride00Big week coming up this week with the PGA Championship at the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island.
I played there some years ago and can only imagine how tough it will be on the pros. It was a beautiful place, but if the wind starts blowing it is going to be a bear.
Other than the Ryder Cup in 1991 this is the first tournatment I can remember being held there, so interested to see how it plays. -

I was looking at that. Looks like about 350 a round for public?IggyPride00;1240780 wrote:Big week coming up this week with the PGA Championship at the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island.

There is a course that looks nice just outside of BG on 65 that looks good too. -
Classyposter58
Stone Ridge may very well be the nicest course publicly in NW Ohio. That and Red Hawk are really in a class of their owngerb131;1242359 wrote:Driven by it about 5 dozen times.
