2013 Super Bowl odds
-
bigdaddy2003This is basically a non story because the 2013 season hasn't even started yet and we don't know what kind of trades the teams will make or if players will get injured. I just figured I would throw it up for laughs. Ravens at 20 - 1? I know I'm biased but that seems a little off.

sleeperBaltimore has an aging defense. I think that's a pretty good line for them. I sure as hell wouldn't take it.

thavoiceOdd to see the champs lower than the ravens. Also with Philly that high? wow. I know they finished strong but still.
Oh well.....they are just mere talking points right now.
Wanna talk about odds.....that one dude won 50k on the safety on the first play!

IliketurtlesI put 25 on the 49ers at 20/1, 23 on the Texans at 12/1, and 50 on the Cowboys at 20/1. With my prop bets and the Giants winning the SB I had a nice profit on Sunday haha. Also I'm pretty tempted to put like 25 on the Cardinals at 40/1 just if somehow they get Manning and hes healthy.
As for the lines I don't think they are too far off. Some are lower than I thought they would be and a few are a little higher. -
DeyDurkie5prob going to put money on the redskins

thavoiceWhat if ya put 100 down on the top ten teams. Cost ya 1000. At best ya win 1600 and clear 600, and at worse you win 600 and lose 400...but ya have a 7 in 10 chance of winning some money.
Of course...minus the "juice" or whatever they call it. -
wgh raiderhard to see the patriots odds being that low ??
-
Azubuike24Honestly, at 40/1, the Bengals with a solid upcoming draft (3 picks in the top 53) and some returning health of players (Carlos Dunlap, Jordan Shipley, Leon Hall), they could be a solid gamble.

I've thought of doing this but I just don't like their chances at all even if they did get a healthy Manning.DeyDurkie5;1079859 wrote:prob going to put money on the redskins
thavoice I wouldn't do that just because I've never been a fan of doing something like that. If I did do that tho I would probably go to 12 teams and add the 49ers and Cowboys. The odds would probably to have the Lions instead of the Cowboys tho but I'm a Cowboys fan so I'd obviously choose them. Then you would have a team from every division and the 2 wild card teams and maybe all 12 of those teams make the playoffs. But at best you'd still only profit 600 but could lose 600 by doing it that way if any of those teams did win the SB. Also in best like these the juice is already factored in on betting sites so whatever you profit or lose is what you get. -

At worst, you lose it all when none of those teams win the SB.thavoice;1079865 wrote:What if ya put 100 down on the top ten teams. Cost ya 1000. At best ya win 1600 and clear 600, and at worse you win 600 and lose 400...but ya have a 7 in 10 chance of winning some money.

WOnder if anyone though has the odds in past years.......how often is the SB winner come into the season with odds not in the top 10? -

I am not a gambler and i was just wondering out loud. I did for a short bit years ago......and if I bet 100 bucks and won I got it all...but if I bet 100 on a game, and lost, it cos me like 110 ro whatever.Iliketurtles;1079887 wrote:I've thought of doing this but I just don't like their chances at all even if they did get a healthy Manning.

I really dont know about gambling. -
sleeperIf you bet $1 on each team, your expected value winnings would equal -$14.23.

Baltimore Ravens 20-1
New York Jets 20-1

Denver Broncos 50-1
Miami Dolphins 50-1*
Arizona Cardinals 60-1 *
Washington Redskins 125-1 *
These seem to be the best bang for your buck as far as teams I could see actually winning and giving a nice payday. *being teams in the running for Peyton Manning. I guess you can add Nyj to that also but I don't see Manning playing for sexy Rexy. -
MulvaBaltimore at 20-1 is nice. Or even 14-1.

thavoiceAs far as manning going to another team.........that is gonna be a very interesting situation if it happens.
The offense he has ran has pretty much been HIS offense. He calls the plays and makes the calls. If he goes to another team what is going to happen? Will he have to adapt to the new offense which most likely will make in less effective? OR will he try to instill his offense and then all the WR/RB/OL has to learn a new one?
