Fausto Carmona isn't really Fausto Carmona....

grodtSince he's only guaranteed one more year I don't see this affecting the Indians decision at all. A 31 year old isn't terrible and odds are, unless he has a phenomenal season, they won't pick up his option for next year. Now I hear that it might take awhile to get the whole visa thing straightened out and that he could be late to spring training. That could give guys like Gomez, Huff and McAllister a chance

BearBoy69I could see the reason behind lying about you age in a way... but why the heck lie about your name..... really dumb... of course if he gave his real name they'd know his true age. What a complete idiot.

That's exactly why. If he gave his real name they'd have his age. I assume Fausto Carmona was just an arbitrary set of fake identification papers that allowed him to pitch (and market himself) at 3 years younger than he really is.BearBoy69;1059815 wrote:I could see the reason behind lying about you age in a way... but why the heck lie about your name..... really dumb... of course if he gave his real name they'd know his true age -
BearBoy69Well i'm glad he gave me another reason to hate him. Thank you for giving Cleveland fans something else to get P.O'ed at. As if Indians fans don't already have enough

HitsRusOnly way that I see anything changing is if it causes immigration problems...then the Tribe will have legal recourse.

I'd think that most organizations would know just to add 3 years to a latin's players age. Hell Julio Franco played until he was 49, so I think he played until he was 52 when he retired.Midstate01;1059388 wrote:Any guesses on how old Pujols is??
