Harbaugh showed if you have the chops you don't need to waste your time "learning/growing/evaluating" with 4 win seasons.
  
  Just like the recent crop of rookie QB's has changed the paradigm about not being ready to play right away, hopefully Harbaugh shows fans that rookie head coaches can and will win if they know what their doing.

  I know what you're implying and Harbaugh turned down Holmgren before Shurmur was hired.

  I'm not suggesting he should have tried for Harbaugh or that he would have ever come here.
  
  More that Mike needs to stop patronizing the fan base about Pat being such a smart coach and all the other crap he flings while chalking the losses up to the learning process as if the guy is the next Bill Walsh.
  
  We see Shurmur, and then we see Harbaugh. Both walked into lossing situations, and one is in the NFC Championship, while the other won 4 games and looked in over his head.
  
  Harbaugh showed that a rookie head coach doesn't need to be babied and have the kid glove treatment.
  
  The 49ers didn't just write the year off and have zero expectations or accountability because they had a rookie coach like Holmgren did, and I think that is what bothers me.

  dude..the talent between the browns and 49ers is night and day. You constantly rag on shurmur, and literally add nothing to the convo except that.

  Reading comprehension is clearly not your strong suit as no where in there was I ragging on Shurmur. I am sorry if you have a hard-on for the guy and read into things that aren't being said and some how feel threatened by it.

  I've read enough of your posts on the cleveland offseason thread to know that you "hate shurmur" and don't believe in him. "shurmur can't help being incompetant" is a great quote to show that you are on board with him:rolleyes:

  Don.t over analyze. The Saints turned the ball over 5 times. The 49ers didn't stop the Saints.The Saints did what they do(463 yards passing), but it is difficult to overcome 5 turnovers.
