Whoever gets Philly gets a big break.

There is something about NY, I just don't want to face. Much maligned, but far more capable of giving CHI or MIA a series.

Philly has been done for 2 months. They were on the upswing last year, the complete opposite of this year, and got blasted by Miami in round 1.

Point stands: he's a millionaire pro athlete. And UK students are "laughing at him." About what? He won America. They're people living in Kentucky.

I also don't think Orton will be out of the league if he continues to perform well. He's a big body and NBA loves size.

    What exactly did he win?

You're missing the point. I get your joke. "Haha, Kentucky is shitty redneck state." Compare him to the other Kentucky basketball players and he lost. Josh Harrellson is going to have a better career than Orton. It's sad. He made bad decisions and ruined some great opportunities.

Bron would really like to have a 3rd MVP.

Cool, he can have all he wants, not 5, not 6, not 7......

No one cares, unless his team wins a championship.

The Heat in its current form won't win a championship. The Heat aren't even the best team in their own conference much less the league. I wouldn't be surprised if Indiana knocks them off in the Conference semi's.

Maybe, but they're not the ones "laughing." Apparently that's UK students.

He is? Orton is 2 years younger, with a higher PER and more upside.

Whatever decisions he made led to him being a first round pick. He could have stuck around at some shitty school being paid nothing for another year or two, and maybe gotten more money down the road(or maybe less, or maybe none at all.) Or he could take the millions he was guaranteed then.

lol must be rough on those 21 year old legs
  • Midstate01
Funny, I saw one of these charity games(not with wall) here on base over the summer. Guys like rose, mike miller, joe Johnson, tyreke Evans. They don't play hard, they basically play around. I'm guessing playing 20 of those games equals about 3 real games.

Orton wasn't good at UK either. I don't know why Orlando wasted a first round pick on him. Dude averaged 3 points and 3 rebounds.
  • Azubuike24
I've said it in this very thread. Wall has coasted on talent for a long time. He's capable of being a top player in the league but he will continually be surpassed until he dials in some of the smaller things in his life and game.

Compare him to Brandon Knight, just as an example. Knight followed him at UK, had a better college career and thus far the NBA career is heading that way.
  • Hb31187
I know Wall gets by on talent and Knight is a much harder worker but....Aside from team success, theres no way shape or form that Knights had a better NBA career than Wall
  • wildcats20
    Wall shoots 8% from 3. I laughed.

On the year he's actually shooting .075%

Yes, not even 10% on the year from 3.

    Yeah, I was rounding.
  • Hb31187
Melo is continuing his hot streak, albeit vs the Nets. But before halftime hes got 21 points on 8-11 shooting. 4-4 from 3(hes never been able to shoot 3's for some reason).

Wonder if this all goes to hell when Amare comes back
  • wildcats20
BUT, he's only taken 40. So it's not like he's chucking them up.

A 1st overall draft pick PG should put in the damn effort to be a double digit 3 pt shooter lol.

He's stupid, but not THAT stupid. He knows his limitations... As Chicago said though, a #1 overall pick should be able to work on that. Rose has become a respectable 3 point shooter.
