I would hope so after basically giving tickets away.

There is no basically about it, they did give tickets away.

Well....it was buy one get one free so it really wasnt giving them away.

Also...the bengals will have to pay the NFL 22 bucks per free ticket they issued.

As an avid listener to the bengals flagship station, wlw, I have to say that is pretty much what the people who call in think of the team, and also many of the hosts who will say how they feel as well.

I have to give Bengal fans credit. They have stayed away to give Mikey Boy a message. I figured early in the season they were staying away because the team was supposed to be atrocious this year. Many said they were gonna stay away because of Mikey Boy, BUT I figured when they started winning they would forget about that and attend games.

BUt they didnt come back until this buy one get one deal.

Does 35,000 fans instead of 55,000 cause Brown to lose money or he just makes less?
  • thavoice
MIkey Boy isnt losing money on the bengals by having 35k in attendance...but of course he makes more if he has 55000+. Capacity is 65k plus.
  • Ironman92
Well he has a zillion dollars and if he isn't losing....then I doubt he cares much at all that people aren't showing up as others do.

It they weren't giving them away why did they have to reimburse the NFL?

buy one get one is the equivalent to getting the tickets half price. They're not just giving it to you, you still need to make a purchase. You get that right? Your Con_alma routine is pretty weak.

Hey, how about your boy tebow? Don't really have much to say after 2 straight loses huh? I wonder how you'll spin it if he misses the playoffs.

Giving them away insinuates you get pay nothing and get a ticket, which wasnt the case. You had to buy one to get the other ticket.
    Semantics maybe.

The money they had to pay to the NFL I presume is the $$$ that goes into the coffers of the NFL for the revenue sharing and/or salary cap.

So who do you guys think wins this game?

    TOSS UP

if i was putting money on it, i'd pick bengasl to cover the spread and the ravens to win straight up.

When you buy 1 ticket and pay the regular price for 1 ticket you normally walk away from the window with 1 ticket. That day you walked away from the window with 2 tickets. That is called giving away tickets. Not surprised you are having trouble with the concept though.
I have posted after each game. Another nice fail attempt. I wonder how you will spin it if Tebow and the Broncos make the playoffs.

Giving away means no money is involved and since there is money involved (buying a ticket, in case you were lost) they weren't given away. Not surprised you're having trouble with the concept though.

they won't so i won't have to. Also, this is redundant.

Still struggling not surprised. How many tickets did people walk away with in the other 31 NFL cities when they purchased 1 ticket for this weeks games?

You understand that for something to be a "give away" that something needs to be given away for free right? You had to BUY/PURCHASE a ticket first to be able to get the second one. No one who BOUGHT tickets went to the game for free. The person they GAVE the ticket to did, since the person with the ticket GAVE IT AWAY for FREE.

I capitalized words to help you understand the concept.

I am with rawdog here. Giving away insinuates getting something without any payment whatsoever. You needed to BUY one to get the one free. Just arguing the semantics...eh...who cares.

I think the bengals win this one. The ratbirds can be skittish and I think they lay an egg. the bengals are a solid team and I think will win it.

How about this prediction.....Either the Ratbirds BIG...like 21+, or the bengals by one score or less? I

Bengals win by 6 or lose by 14+

Or two people attended the game and each paid half price.

I did not read yours before posting mine....but on possible outcomes we very much agree.

On today's Outside the Lines the show is about the Bengals only selling out 2 games. Pretty interesting.

They asked to Cincy guys what would happen if Mike Brown was walking down the street and Paul Daughtery couldn't control his laughter.....then Daughtery slipped and said "shut the hell up" as he was quoting what someone might say.
