I root for players and then what teams they are on.

I've never had an NBA team.....growing up it was the Lakers as Magic and Kareem were the choice over Larry, McHale and co. Once Magic left basketball in 1991....I turned to my next favorite player MJ. Bulls were my team until 1999.....rooted for Grant Hill's team until all the ankle injuries kept him from being relevant.....rooted for LeBron's teams since 2003, but no where near how I rooted for Magic and Jordan.

Growing up it was bandwagon Lakers or Celtics....no other teams on tv......with games on nearly every night it would be easier to not bandwagon......but basketball seems to lend itself that way.

***** I am a certifiable bandwagon NBA fan.

No worse than the flag football that the NFL has become with the horrible penalties and calls.

I'd disagree based only on the fact that one really only needs to watch the last 15 of an NBA game. I know what you're saying but the NFL is a far superior product.

It is worse than football. In football, if it were like the NBA the star players could start the play well before the snap.....and then bitch about every single penalty flag like a baby....mixed with ridiculous flops.

I have never liked Lebron and now I loathe Dan Gilbert. The Comic Sans email to Stern protesting the Paul trade was icing on the cake. That's why I don't root for Cleveland
so you are a bandwagon fan. got it.

It [BB] is worse, just not by much. I have watched zero complete NFL games this season. I watched a few qtrs here and there and one half one time. The NFL is getting close.

In the NFL star players (Qbs, Wr's, Rbs') dont have to bitch at the refs bc the refs give them the penalties already lol.

Not so sure why the NBA gets such a bad rap for players complaining, it happens in EVERY professional sport.

I Agree the NFL is a superior product, I just think the refereeing is equally horrible lol

Not even close. When was the last time LeBron even fouled out? NBA refs are a joke.

True. He just never plays defense unless its a chase down block though. Hard to get fouls called on you when you check the teams worst offensive player usually lol

Stars in NFL are more 'embraceable'. Manning, Rodgers, Brady, Strahan etc.

Stars in the NBA are Kobe, Lebron, Dwade, and Howard. Each of those guys have done things that casual fans are irritated by. So fans root against them. Casual fans then see Kobe or Lebron getting star calls that Brady gets in the NFL and it drives us crazy because we dislike those guys so much

    Yeah but overall it suuucks...hard

You serious about Dwade? Remember what he and Lebron orchestrated last year?

Howard I guess technically hasnt done anything too major... Yet. But I have lost alot of respect for him over the past year or 2. He's held the Magic hostage and his BS is really getting old. "I want to be in Orlando." "I want traded" etc. You signed a contract. Shut up and play. At the end of the year, sit down with them and address the future.

Funny how LeBron did the same thing, yet you always spew your "the cavs did nothing to support lebron" bullshit.

Wade resigned with the team hes been playing with his entire career and tried to get big name FA's to sign with him(like athletes do for all other teams in all sports).

Howard played just as hard as he did last year every year hes been in the league, I dont think hes done anything wrong.

I didn't say Howard can't leave, I just said that him preening to the media and changing his mind every other day annoys the bejeesus out of me. What Lebron did and what Howard is doing is very different, but okay.

Strahan is all over the TV on commercials and was a star back in the day.

So are you saying that no NBA fan holds that against him? Haha I wouldn't say that.

My point is that people hate the Miami Heat. Wade and Lebron were among the most hated in the NBA in a recent poll

He could have asked why I included Manning as well. He hasnt played a down this year
