Barcelona vs Real Madrid - Today at 4PM

Not many can watch it, since its GolTV (and ESPN3 I think). But it should be a dandy.

1st of a possible 5 or 6 match-ups on the year. The most heated rivalry in world sports takes center stage today. I cant wait. For my money, easily the 2 best teams on the planet right now. Real lead Barca by 3 pts, but I think most agree it is:

    1. Barca
    2. Real

    3. City/Bayern

Barca really hasn't been impressive away from Camp Nou this year and Madrid is in great form. Everything is lined up for them to finally beat Pep at Bernabeu, but all that means is that Barca will probably come out and make a statement with like a 3 goal victory.

I agree. The key will be, imo, for the 1st time in like forever Barca will have all their midfielders healthy. Iniesta has been out, and looked great in his return the other day. Xavi, Iniesta and Sergio/Mascherano/whoever have dominated Madrid for 3 years now.

Im hoping for like a 2-2 draw. That will put Barca in the drivers seat for La Liga (granted, not even half way through).

    1-1 in the 30th.

Benzema scored 21 seconds in after Valdes made a horrific pass from goal. Then Messi with a great run and pass found Alexis who slotted it in for the equalizer. Great up and down game so far.

    3-1 Barca

I haven't caught much of the game because I paid more attention to the OSU/Kansas game, but turning on the game around the 30th minute, I was really surprised with the openness of the game. The moments that I have caught have been real interesting.

Madrid went up 1-0 real early, it's been all Barca since.

Like there was any doubt. Barcelona is just on another level.

Its really amazing. Like I said, Iniesta back is huge, but thats not it. No matter what, it seems, they pull out the games they need. It may seem like they are sliding a bit with 1-0 wins and such, but Pep knows his side and what hes doing. He has already found 2 new gems in Cuenca and Thiago (ok, Thiago was a no doubt) moving forward and plays them in important matches. It leads to some slip ups and what appears to be chinking of the armor. Then BAM! They need a result and they dominate their opponent, no matter how good.
