Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers, 2003 Playoff game on NFL Network

mallymal614It's funny to to see players like Tommy Maddox and Kelly Holcomb out there. I'm still trying to figure out how the Browns blew that huge lead! Right now it's 14-0 Browns in the second quarter. So I will see soon.

Ironman92I had to leave the house for over an hour for the Steelers to win that game.
-
killer_ewokI love that game. What a great comeback.

Cha'DIchThat game was the beginning of the downfall of the Browns.
People talked about all of the yards Kelly Holcomb threw for, but they didn't really talk about his interception that was returned for a touchdown keeping the Steelers in the game.
Based on this game, Butch Davis decided to start Holcomb instead of Tim Couch, who guided the Browns to the playoffs before injuring his leg in the final regular season game against Atlanta. That decision would prove to be fatal. Cleveland has not yet recovered him from it.
I wish they would have shown Cleveland's 51-0 win against Pittsburgh at Three Rivers Stadium in week one of the 1989 season.
Now, that was a classic game! -
MulvaThat game sucked.
The week before that against the Falcons to clinch a playoff spot was awesome though. Probably my favorite Browns game ever. -
hangonsloopyDidn't they have a goal line stand or something like that to beat Atlanta? I remember being on the edge of my seat watching.

FootwedgeAh yes....the great Dennis Northcutt drops a first down pass right in his hands which would have meant kneel on the ball time and a victory formation for the Browns.
And people think "the drive" and "the fumble" were bad. Northcutt's drop was worse...much worse...given that it was against Pittsburgh.
