Indianapolis Colts versus LSU

  • Dr Winston O'Boogie
This question gets thrown around every year it seems. How would the worst NFL team fare against he best college team. I've always been of the opinion that hte NFL team wins easiy like 42-7. Curious what others think.

Not even a question. Worst NFL team rolls best NCAAF team.
  • DeyDurkie5
LSU isn't the best college team

This. LSU would get destroyed in the trenches. Wouldn't be close.

LSU might not score. Colts would score 70+.

The line play just wouldnt even be fair.

I didn't throw it out to be interpreted as one of the great questions facing mankind. As a primarily sports forum with various discussions (some serious, some not) what is wrong with a light question once in awhile?

    Colts by A LOT

Bottom NFL team beats top college team by at least 50, unless it's the Browns....then it's only by 30.....10 field goals. :(

Because this question gets asked every year and the answer is always the same... the Pro team by a lot. Curtis Painter would make the LSU look terrible just beacuse of his offensive weapons and the protection he would get. Also LSU's O-Line would get eaten alive by the Colts D.

Retarded question whenever it is brought up.

Colts have a 53 man roster of players who are in the NFL.

HOw many of those LSU players will ever even become an NFL player?

Half of LSU's team will be pros. Half of the Colts team shouldn't be pros. So I say LSU wins in OT. So there!!

Yea only problem with that logic is that the half of the Colts that "shouldn't be pros" were still dominant college players at one point. Therefore Colts by at least 30

I just want to see Les Miles eat the grass from Indy. Maybe it will make him sick.

this is like comparing apples to oranges.

However, I think the Colts would somehow manage to beat LSu

A team of college football all stars could beat the worst NFL team. Book it.

Such a game used to happen, escept it didn't necessarily involve the worst team in teh NFL and often it involved the best. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_College_All-Star_Game

The only time I even think it could even be debated would be the 2001 Panthers led by Chris Weinke versus the 2001 Hurricanes. And by debated I mean it wouldn't be a guaranteed blowout win for the NFL team.

But that team was paid better than the Panthers, so not sure it can qualify.

I'd still take that Panthers team by 2-3 TDs. Not the 50+ we are saying now but still a blowout. Weinke always played pretty well against the Hurricanes. Weinke always played really well against the Canes.

    And Reps to Lalely LOL!

Yeah I think that could happen, but I still would take the NFL team as the favorite. And a team of college all stars who will all be first and second round picks is very different than LSU. LSU will probably have a handful of players drafted on the first day.
