Browns? Buckeyes? Shurmur? Fickell? So much wrong here.

GoJPM!I swear I have been watching the two same inept football teams this weekend.
-
rydawg5The Buckeyes are young but the Browns are sickeningly pathetic.

How good do you think Andy Dalton is? I just remembered that thread from the preseason the other day. Haha -

really impressed with the bengals. dalton and green seem like they have great chemistry - too bad aj was knocked out the game todayjordo212000;971256 wrote:How good do you think Andy Dalton is? I just remembered that thread from the preseason the other day. Haha -
like_thatI voted the last option since I can't pick both the Browns and Shurmur.

WriterbuckeyeI actually had a little hope today with the play calling. They mixed it up more, and used some of their athletes in unusual ways that turned into positive yardage.
If not for the gaffes in the last drive, it might have been a very good day all around.
Then again, the play calling in the Red Zone is still Tressel-esque and I don't want to see that all the time. Show some balls and try a play action pass on first down. Given the Browns penchant for running on first down, most teams will be so shocked it's a pass, it might actually work. -

Agree completely. Shurmur called a good game yesterday. Just needs to go for the throat in the red zone. Shows me how little faith he has in McCoy in those situations.Writerbuckeye;971829 wrote:I actually had a little hope today with the play calling. Go4alOngbOmBHow can you have 0% faith in Colt when you HAVE to have 0% faith in your 4th string running back...so much so, you hand it off to a 3rd string TIGHT END on second and goal??????
1st and Goal at the 8. I would rather see 3 straight "Flash Package" snaps than a run up the middle, a fumble from a tight end on a hand-off, and another run up the middle. At least i would feel like we weren't playing for a 2 point lead and leaving our defense to hold on for 3 minutes.
And don't even get me started on the special teams. Cost us the Raiders game, and now a chance of winning this game.
I love the Browns, its in my blood, but it is getting really hard not to bash my head into a brick wall every Sunday as I watch this team play.
