What college holds most passing yards....

    in the NFL?

Saw this stat recently during a game and it kind of surprised me.

    Any guesses?

I know a number of you probably saw it during the game and if you please (and I know you wont) lets see if anyone else guesses it without looking it up.

Until the right answer comes up, were you surprised?

I didn't see it...I'll guess Miami? BYU maybe?

I saw it but can't say I was TOO surprised.

    slcoach....Negative for both.

NFL history or among active players?

Active it could be Purdue with Painter, Orton and Brees.

    Purdue?

I wonder if a city has as many yards as Pittsburgh.

    Unitis
    Montana
    Marino

    All time.

    Yeah...Laley is correct.

It was Purdue. Do not know why I was a little bit surprised by it.

Lol, I was guessing for current. In which case I thought it was obvious. Im surprised they have the all-time record. Though Orton and Brees alone would put them pretty high up. Michigan wouldve been my All-Time guess I think. With Miami and BYU right behind.

    Greise
    Grbac
    Brady
    Henne
    Harbaugh

Of course Purdue does have some history as well. Even without Orton/Brees

    -Griese
    -Danielson
    -Len Dawson

    come to mind.

Anyone find the other top 5 or 10?

    Believe Notre Dame was second.

Haha love that it never gets old. I would have never guessed Purdue for alltime but as Laley and Azu said they were a easy choice for current players. Would be cool to see like the top 5 or 10.

The SNF telecast had the top 10 I believe. Been looking for it a little bit online for a list and cannot find it though.

Get your witchcraft out of here!

I guessed Michigan by way. Should have known Neckbeard would put Purdue over the top.

Namath as well. I believe is from the city of Pittsburgh.

I thought for sure it would be OSU.

This is a great trivia question. Michigan and Purdue came to mind, but I wonder where Ole Miss ranks? Charlie Conerly, Archie Manning, Eli Manning. Kindof a "sneaky" pick that might be up there.

I wonder which conference CURRENTLY boasts the most passing yards (active players). The B1G has to be up there with Brady, Brees, Orton, Henne, Painter, etc. ACC too with Matt Ryan, Matt Schaub, Mike Vick, Matt Hasselbeck, etc ... I guess you can never count out the SEC (Peyton, Eli, Newton, etc).

Good call on Ole Miss. I'd say they would be top 10 probably somewhere around USC who I'd say would be around 5-7. As for current players and conferences I'd def go with Big 10, ACC, SEC, Pac 10 in that order.
