Donnie Baseball is one of only two Yankess I have ever liked.

I'm really stunned that Donnie Baseball never even got close to getting enough votes for the Hall of Fame. He had 28.2% his first year of eligibility and then a steady decline from there. Only had 13.6% of the vote this year.

Could not keep it going long enough....had trouble staying healthy. He would've needed 3-4 more pretty good years to make the HOF....but he definately has the needed "best player"...problem was he was the best player for 3-4 years but then dropped out of the top 20 best players and never consistently was the force that he was from 1984-1987.

Yeah, I mean, I'm not saying I think he should be in the HOF. Just surprised that he never even got close.
