Arroyo comes within an eyelash of a "quality start". Alonso could do as well as Cairo on that chopper that well could have been an inning ending DP that went for an error.
But it is all a moot point as Halladay has retired 14 in a row and is thru 5 innings with no runs on 68 pitches. Its been all Phils except for the near 3 run HR that just went foul off Bruce's bat in the first inning that would have staked the Reds to a 3-0 lead.
Going into the game you had to figure the Phils chances of achieving at least a tie in the four game series were very good, and it seems to be working out that way.
