L.A.Lakers on nine game win streak

It's great to see the Lakers playing as well as they have been.

It's a good run, but not overly impressive. They just haven't stumbled against a team they should beat during the run--the Heat is really their only GOOD win. The Suns to a lesser extent. But 8 of the games have been at home, and the only road game was in the state of Cali.

Don't get me wrong, still a 9 game winning streak and it is what it is--a nice run. But it's not thread worthy--the only reason you made the thread is because the Cavs lost tonight.

I'm more interested to see what the Lakers do in their next 9 with 5 of them on the road and wrapping up with a game against Cleveland. Wouldn't be surprised if they can win all 9 of those either--aside from the Cavs, the only team that should be able to even threaten them is the Jazz.

The Celtics win tonight extends their winning streak to 8 games and now sit at 17-4 ...... Rondo was 1 rebound shy of a triple double 11 points 13 assists and 9 rebounds. I should have started a thread though ;) lol

Lakers can go undefeated for all I care, they won't beat the Cavs when it counts.

Sorry Sleep, ya know I got nothing but love for ya, but the Lakers are the exact type of team that gives the Cavs fits. Cavs going to get beat by 10+ on Christmas day.

Only team that has a shot against the Lakers in a 7 game series, IMO, is the Denver Nuggets.

This is all barring injury, of course.

One has 15 Titles, the other has 0.

Yeah but only 1 in the last 24 years.

Don't worry number 18 will be this year
  • JakeGiant
We aren't worried because #18 won't happen this year.

BUT only one in the last 24 years...lmao, always something with you guys.

Yeah? Well the Heat have the same amount of titles as the Lakers in the last 5 years. Boom, suck it! ha

That's weak sauce considering LA won 4 this past decade, especially in terms on how they did it.....built, rebuild, built.

To you it's weak sauce if ANYONE has a title other than the Lakers LMAO!
  • jpake1
They should have won 5. But Kobe was a ball hog and got set straight by Prince in the finals. LBJ has always set Prince straight. He would have got them more rings.

You probably have a point, there.

I agree, on paper, they should have won. But, it wasn't meant to be, and I don't think Kobe being the ballhog was much the reason.

    ^Strong argument!

Just giving you a hard time giant. I don't honestly believe anything I've said in any forum today. Just wanted to get some people fired up. I guess it's too early in the day for that. I'll try later tonight.

Zero came against playing Lebron James and the Cavs. We'll see on Christmas how these teams stack up, but I'm putting my money on the GOAT and Shaq.
