Reds vs Fish Game. 1th game of series
-
thavoiceReds have won and lost the same amount of games on days I start the game thread (0-0).
I dont thave the lineups.
I dont know who is pitching.
So I am half assing this thread, kinda like the reds have half assed their season thus far.
So..will they be tired after hitting the beaches and picking up what they hope are women in south beach and flop (pun intended) tonite? -
justincredibleCueto vs Nolasco.
Reds win.
With the Indians loss yesterday the Reds are only a game and a half back of them in the "Steak Dinner Bet" standings I have with a friend. Since the Reds are clearly out of the race for the playoffs I'd love it if they can pass the Indians (strictly for a free steak) and the Cardinals. They are only 4.5 games back of the Cardinals and play them 3 more times this season. -
thavoiceShit man. They DO have a reason to play now. Gotta finish better than those Injuns! Thanks for giving me something to look forward to now.
Werent the Tribe like 30-10 at some point?
Cueto on the hill.......damn good chance they win. -
wildcats20Thursday's game has been moved up to tomorrow as part of a double header.
-
Little DannyAlanso is subbing for Votto tonight. Double header tomorrow to avoid Hurricane Irene.
-
Ironman92Why no Votto? Hitting too well?
Janish, Cueto and Sappelt over a 4 batter spread -
Ironman92Stanton will hit 1350 ft of HR this series.
-
Ironman92Mike Stanton is only 21?
Holy Smokes. -
Ironman92Alonso with a very nice field spin and perfect crisp throw to second.
1 play....slightly above average at first -
Ironman92Alonso with a good stretch with appropriate footwork.
2 plays....still above average -
Ironman92Alonso on his first swing creams a HR.
-
Ironman92Stubbs steals 2nd and 3rd
-
Ironman92PAUL JANISH with his FIRST HR of the year!!!!!!!!!!

J/K -
Ironman92The mound is killing Cueto
-
mhs95_06Excellent play by Cairo to knock off the tying run at home, and for Ramon to handle the hotbox perfectly giving absolutely no opportunity for the runners to move past 1st and 2nd.
-
Ironman92Wow...Cueto struggles to bases loaded and a 2-0 count and 6 consecutive balls thrown....next pitch low and in and ump gives him it....next pitch low and outside....strike 2 called. Got out of it....but an assist from the ump.
-
mhs95_06The ump gives Johnny a couple strikes after he goes 2-0 with bases loaded and two out to help him get out of the 2nd inning, his 2nd struggling zero inning. Now with 49 pitches and 4 walks in his battle with the soil conditions on the mound.
-
Ironman92Phillips still thriving in the leadoff spot.....and his approach is now excellent.....which is irritating and refreshing.
-
Ironman92Phillips stolen base....a better base runner now?
Bruce with a crappy at bat after a 2-0 count and he's 3 for his last 24.....coulda played Votto in LF! Lol -
Ironman92Alonso with another hit ( up the middle)....and another RBI
-
mhs95_06Yonder with a more impressive AB in his 2nd AB -- a 2 out hit with RISP!
-
Ironman92Stubbs strikes out on a ball a foot outside for his 167th strikeout of the year.
-
Ironman92Cueto with his 5th walk with no outs in the 3rd
-

I was impressed with that play. When he did the quick spin I could just envision the throw going wild into LF, but he did it very well and looked like they had an inning ending DP. Not getting it cost Cueto 7 extra pitches in the 1st to get the last hitter.
