BSPN says Miami among most tortured sports cities
-
Commander of AwesomeLots of limbs are climbed on, and it's pretty humorous how much the writer has to stretch, but the ending is classicly hilarious
Man, I'd love to be the kind of miserable that brings three pro championships in a 15-year span.Really, with an entire college program potentially in tatters and a professional season possibly lost to money squabbles, Miami could breeze past other beleaguered sports locales such as Buffalo, San Diego, D.C. and Cleveland, and see a year that just might rival Seattle's "Worst Year Ever" as, well, the worst year ever.
For now, though, here Miami sits, hopeful and harrowed all at once, stuck in a sports purgatory that soon might become hell.
At least Miamians are used to the heat.

lolfail on BSPN. -
ricolamy first thought was no way are they as tortured as Cleveland (which is true---not even close), but now that they have LBJ and can watch him fail in the finals (perhaps over and over again) i guess that would tend to torture one..
-
like_thatJust further proves how much of a joke espn is. Also how can their city be tortured when their fans don't even give a shit about their team?

Commander of AwesomeI don't even think you can put the words Miami and torture in the same sentence.
You have to be passionate about your teams to feel tortured.
Their basketball team had a top 5 player, added another one, along with another top 20ish player, and they couldn't even sell out their year, there were times during the season where the Cavs actually outdrew them in attendance. I believe one of those nights was when the Cavs were hosting crappy Philadelphia and the Heat were hosting the Knicks a few nights after getting Carmelo. Pathetic.
If the Cavs had landed Wade and Bosh, there would have been 3 parades thrown in downtown Cleveland. -
BR1986FBMiami had an EXPANSION baseball team beat a Cleveland team in a World Series. Quit your bitchin', nuff said.

No kidding, been trying to forget. 2 WS, 2 football national championships, a NBA championship along with another trip to the finals and they're tourtued? LMAO sign me up for that. Fucking idiotic article. -
gorocks99Yeah...that's pretty massively stupid. The "tortured cities" list begins with Cleveland, Buffalo, Minneapolis and Seattle. Miami is nowhere near the top.

like_thatThere are a few certain posters who I am waiting to chime in with an idiotic comment.

Lol poster #1. Still QQing because you looked like an idiot in the contraction thread? Ok. -
Raw Dawgin' itI blame the editor for approving that garbage.
-
HereticYes. "Sports cities" where the fans generally seem apathetic or not sure whether their city actually has a team in one or more sports definitely are the most tortured out there.

DeyDurkie5ESPN is the worst. Really is the worst.

robj55I've been a life long dolphins fan and that has been frustrating, but I don't see where they are coming from with anything else.
