Exactly... The umps were bad, but we still had chances. No excuses, we just suck.

well, did my best try and bring some cleveland to chicago, however when you play like donkey shit, thats what happens. choo looked lost out there. and 5 freaking triples, come on. one never even made it to the outfield wall.

haha yeah they echoed pretty good throughout the ball park. then everyone got going with the aaaaaaaa choo chant....which sadley, seemed to have worked on choo.

frustrating watching Santana boot the ball all over the field every night.

Choo had a particularly uncharacteristically bad nite defensively, and it cost us. Worse, I think the Tribe was playing 9 against 13, if you count the umpiring crew which missed call after call and over taxed the Indians pitching staff. We have been 'treated" to some pretty piss poor umpiring the past week, but that crew was just terrible. To the team's credit, they kept fighting back all nite. Too bad they couldn't have won it.

Put brantley on the DL, he looks in pain at the plate.

I didn't watch last night's game, but he went 3 for 6. Did he really look that bad?

    Need Kipnis back fast!

I only saw his last 3 at bats, one being a bloop single, he looked very uncomfortable at the plate.

Brantley did have 3 hits, but none of them were driven. He does look uncomfortable up there, especially on inside pitches.

That's twice in 3 starts that they've given him 5 runs and he couldn't get it done. Pretty safe to say, imo, that Masterson is the "ace" of this staff.

He has 0 losses. The defense was shit last night. He should've only given up 3. aces get out of tight jams. He did that in the 1st

Fair enough. Let's just say, so far, I'm underwhelmed.

0 earned runs over 8 innings in a game you had to have and had to go deep in against the first place tigers underwelmed you?

Very underwhelmed. For what the Tribe gave up, this guy should be God on roller skates. When you get raped in a trade, what you're getting back better be "pristine" talent and I don't see it.
  • royal_k
Count me as underwhelmed as well. He did pitch a great game against the tigers, but his other 2 starts have been very shaky. His command is what sticks out. He had no idea where his pitches were going last night. Marson was holding the target outside and he was throwing inside. Too many pitches finding hitting zones.

I'll take the Indians track record on trades.

Ubaldo has "ace" stuff. Not going to base the trade off 3 starts.

Great approach! The CC and Lee trades are sure working out well!

His "ace" stuff doesn't do any good if he can't locate it. Location is more important than stuff....just ask Josh Tomlin.

I would agree that it's too early to judge the trade. But so far.....not so good.

Neither one of those guys were coming back and both teams knew that.

Said I was underwhelmed. Didn't like the trade from the start. Nobody hopes I'm wrong about the guy more than me and I'll be willing to eat (Baltimore) Raven/Crow covered in BBQ sauce if I'm wrong but, so far, I see another Carmona.

BTW...thanks for making it personal with the cheap shot before editing your post.

Both trades saw us get 4 for 1. Brantley has star potential when healthy, carrasco is a solid middle of rotation guy, marson is one of the best defensive catchers in game, Donald is the utility player for future, and laporta was the can't miss prospect.

I think they did well. Not to mention how they acquired santana, choo, and adsrubel

I tried editing it out...I sorry...wanna throw me through a sawed table?

Glad I went to bed when I did. Choo striking out with 1 out and the bases loaded would have kept me up for weeks.

Someone said Choo had a rough game defensively...he did hose a guy at 3rd on one hop from the warning track and the guy was called safe and provided the 7th run.

Carmona needs to be good tonight. I'm not holding my breath.

Tonight is a huge start for fausto. We will know if he is back for sure. The sox have killed him this year let's hope he has put it behind him
