  Experts have been saying at the beginning of every season, this is the Texans yr to make the playoffs. I'll believe it when I see it. 8-8 for them is my thoughts.

  Indy is coming into this season a bit down. Questions about Manning and where he's at in his career. Texans are a trendy pick.

  My dolphins will have another mediocre year led by the young defense. They will beat teams they shouldn't and lose to teams they should beat. This will be the last year of Henne and Sparano thankfully.

  AFC is -6, NFC is +4, so need to give an nfc team one more win or an afc team one less loss (would be a net +2 for either one which would make it balance)

  Unless Brett Favre taught Colt McCoy how to play quarterback in cold/inclement weather....I don't see the Browns cracking 7 wins.

  I think the offense they're running will solve that. Still don't think they'll eclipse 7 wins but it won't be due to McCoy. If he stays healthy I expect him to put up HUGE passing numbers in this offense. They will likely lose quite a few 31-28 games because the defense will suck.

  I see what you're saying BR, but keep these facts in mind: 1. He struggled last year at the end of the year when it got cold (I know he played some tough defenses but still). 2. He has NEVER in his life had to play in cold weather/snow/high winds until he got to the Browns. Guy has played in warm weather his entire life. I have confidence in him when it's warm out but in late November, December, January when you NEED strong play out of your quarterback....I'm not sure he has the ability to play in that kind of weather. His buddy Sam Bradford was VERY fortunate to be drafted to the Rams where he plays in a dome and a warm division.

  If this were a vertical attack, I'd agree (more) but with these short "dink & dunks", with YAC, suit his playing style perfectly, warm or cold weather.

  I hope so, because even in the WCO you have to make some throws down the field (like those seam routes to the TE's) to keep the defense honest. Not to mention that the ball is simply different when it's cold/wet outside which affects ALL throws.

  Also remember that at the end of last year:
  
  (1) You had a team that was all banged up and without key linemen, Hillis and a defense that had fallen apart after Fujita got hurt.
  
  (2) You had a QB who was still injured with a tweaked ankle and a shoulder that had still not completely healed from the year before.
  
  (3) Perhaps most important, you had a coaching staff that had given up and were lame ducks, and that includes an offensive coordinator who couldn't find his ass with both hands most of the time.
  
  I don't think the cold weather had much to do with what happened to him, but it sounds good. The above factors had far more to do with his fall off in production than the weather.

  From everything I've heard, McCoy has packed on some bodyweight and his arm has looked stronger in camp.

  It definitely looked stronger against GB. I was pretty much right on the 20 yard line and he definitely had good 'zip' on the ball. I was always one who hoped for the best with McCoy, and I wanted the Browns to take a flyer on him in the draft. I wasn't sure if he would actually be 'the guy", but everything I see from him tells me he will be.
  
  The guy puts in work, is a natural leader, loves the city already, and seems like a down to earth dude. Everything the QB of the Cleveland Browns should be.

  I think Buffalo is putting together a good structure. They won't compete with the Jets and Patriots. Not enough pieces yet but the defense is starting to look more like a Pittsburgh defense with the great nose tackle in Kyle Williams and it looks like Merriman could have a comeback. Brad Smith was a nice addition to the offense.
